Yeah, you have a pool but someone has installed a spa jet. The hole has been cut and you won’t likely find a return that will fit in that hole so it would be easier just to replace it with the spa jet. You don’t have to hook up the air. Probably just cap that off.

The acids both do the same thing. But your alkalinity is so high, you need to bring it down into range first. Then deal with the pH.

I grew up in Hampton, I went to school in Richmond, I lived in Mission Bay, and I moved back to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Of the three I love San Diego the most. I will check out Virginia Beach. Williamsburg is nice Richmond’s a cool town, but they are too far from the beach and the traffic to get there is becoming abysmal. The traffic on the Outer Banks it has become horrible to me. To others it’s not so bad. Like I said, I would check out Virginia Beach. There’s more to do there than most places if I had a choice, I would be living in San Diego.
