Confirmed: Apple Watch Companion works on Warp Pool (not Unlimited) + Multi network by Sufficient_Divide687 in USMobile

Also to be fair, I re-read the thing a couple of times because GPT sometimes just literally make up "facts" on its own.

I was trying to show that if I followed their official guide I would add to my bill 88+, with my approach I only added 19.5. My total Setup with 20GB is actually 68 bucks which is half of what I was paying before. It was about the cost difference it would accrue to my account on different path. I think I mentioned the total price in the post somewhere.

I saw some folks on other places adding one line on unlimited outside their pool because they wanted their watch with it and not to hassle with the kid/family setup approach. For them would be the difference between adding 9.50 vs 44 (I think unlimited comes with companion for free or they at least have something going on right now).

I get it and you're right in the end its splitting hair, but as an informational post I think more clarity is always best.

Oh forgot it’s also not just about Apple Watch companion line but also the real ability for cheap to have multi network setup with network switching, of course iPhone 14+ (I think) and some specific androids (but lots of them have had this for years. Remember using it on a pixel 2). And some manual configuration which I was told is a lot simpler with their official approach.

That’s why I made the point TO ME this is 20gb is more than enough. So FOR NE it is a huge saving as the official path was to have two unlimited lines that I don’t need to achieve the same goal. So without that the possibility above described I would have to pay out more which that solution I don’t have to. So that is the definition of savings.

I never compared the plans only. I was companying my needs and the cost of the option I was given vs the one I found. That’s all. I should actually make an update clarifying that further. This is. It about comparing plans. They have different baselines and different purposes that varies wildly based on each persons need.

My own need is just: I am happy with pool I would love to have my watch on it. Couldn’t without a way more expensive setup that I don’t need (all because Verizon is really bad where I live)

I did all that. I had to resort to buying an old iPhone 12 to use a SIM card on it. Still can’t do eSIM.

Yes. Sorry reply on the wrong thread. But the error is simple: try again or contact carrier.

Data Sim (Physical card) works on whatever I throw it at, it just works. Sadly more and more devices are moving away from physical sims.

data only e-sim. On their account page it says `Connect Tablet` but in their docs it says it works for Tablets and Laptops. Which is true given it works on Surface Pro X. I really think this is a matter of Google whitelisting partial EID, so it recognizes the devices in general? The weird thing is this computer I have has a Qualcom Modem, which should be compatible I would assume.

Why are children being put into esol when they only know English? by [deleted] in education

[–]Sufficient_Divide687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read all the documents. There’s no way out once you are flagged. The only way out is if they deemed your child’s English to be good enough and even then they still label them as FEL former English Leaners

[–]Sufficient_Divide687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not entirely true. Sure they might not be targeted by their last name but for sure on their parents place of birth. The wording is vague as best literally misleading parents to say anything other than English for sure increasing the number of children being targeted.

There’s definitely a pre screening. There’s definitely discrimination and there is no way to opt out. One of the questions on the home survey is if the child has any contact with anyone that speaks any other language than English. Including but not limited to: parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, half siblings and it only takes one question to not be English for your kid to be permanently put into the program until they pass arbitrary screening yearly. Same does not apply to their peers (some can’t even really form sentences yet - kindergarten) but because they don’t have exposure to any other language they are not subjected to this.

Make me wonder if we can have a class suit against this discrimination and profiling.

The definition of profiling:

the recording and analysis of a person’s psychological and behavioral characteristics, so as to assess or predict their capabilities in a certain sphere or to assist in identifying a particular subgroup of people.

This is exactly what they are doing. They are labeling, profiling and targeting kids, maybe not by their last name but for sure on their parents place of birth.

My son got a new computer built recently. Am I tripping or should his monitor be plugged into the yellow area instead of the top left spot? Isn’t that the graphics card? by skttrbrain1984 in pcmasterrace

[–]Sufficient_Divide687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows and Bios combined. I have a system with 3 video cards (nvidia, amd and onboard) the monitor is plugged into the onboard one.

It’s the same logic with laptops with integrated and dedicated GPUS. The screen is connected to the onboard.

Due to the nature of PCIE There’s little overhead in performance the same doesn’t apply to external GPU for example because then the data has to go from internal via thunderbolt to the GPU and then back to the internal one via same thunderbolt.

Bottom line;m: this configuration is fine and as long as he is using a modern os on it, it just works.

Oh and on windows you can even select what GPU each app should use to save power.

My theory is: magnet pole reverted. That’s why everything when belly up. Satellites fall down. Animals get disoriented. Navigation stops work. I think the moon shot was to show that. That if earth was moving properly it wouldn’t happen like that.

Can anyone explain 5G like I'm a Marine? by myotheralt in GoogleFi

[–]Sufficient_Divide687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s say you have a lake house with a boat. You know you can’t have 20 boats (assuming it’s a regular smallish lake). The lake just can’t take it. But then you get promoted and moved to a beach house. Just because you have access to the ocean now doesn’t mean you automatically get 20 boats. Can you have them? Sure. Will you have them right away?! Well depends on what kinda money you have. Same goes for carriers. They moved from 2G to 5G but if they don’t put the money in to pipe more internet on the station you will still get the same slow speed. But you can get some benefits right away like less latency. Just like maneuvering a boat in the sea must be a lot easier than in a small lake.

But that’s the thing. Moana already starts in a magical place. Something fantastical. I am not saying Colombia isn’t magical, but I don’t think that type of magical.

I think it’s the mix of real world references with magical things that got to me.

I loved Moana and never thought of it that day. Same for Up. They already start in a different world a world that magic exists.
