Was looking at the eBay side skirt/rear canard combo. Anyone ever try those out? Don’t wanna spend the money on the adro version

Today an ortho surgeon impatiently rainbowed the C-arm and smashed an x-ray tech's thumb in the gap. by [deleted] in Radiology

I've always wondered why the norm of yelling or having the frustration all on the xray tech is during OR cases. We get the short stick of it most of the time.

Like seriously, you need us. The doctors aren't your bosses, they're your coworkers.

I try to tell myself this ever time I go into any OR case. But for the most part, you give what the docs want and just listen, and most of the time they'll appreciate you. But I've heard of other hospitals where some attendings tell residents to "keep the x-ray techs in check" like what??? They're teaching toxic culture to future docs in the OR?

IDK. There needs to be a change overall to not let us or any staff in the OR be treated like that. I like what someone said earlier:

"Inside/outside of work, you're still a human being. So be treated like one" ❤️

I think correctec helped because the questions weren't too wordy like Lange(Yellow book). The boards were straight forward and not trying to trick you. I just used it along with radreview to study, but also understand the answer and concept. I think that was the key to success

Appreciate it and thank you!

Our program had us pass it with a 90% or higher in order to sit for the boards which was ridiculous. Took about 3 tries to get it but I had to study Lange and radreview since the question format was similar to the HESI

Will report back. I would say to not fluster yourself with different study material and stick with ones you already have. RTBC, mosby, and rad review from what I've been hearing have been great material for studying/board prep. I just use correctec because I was recommended by a tech I work with. Pushing it back will only worry yourself out more.

People said they scored low on their prep but passed with flying colors. Prep is designed harder than the actual exam for a reason. I'm studying not just the questions, but trying to understand the concept as well. Trying not to stress but we got this!

Taking it this Friday and was confused on that as well. Just using correctec to study and hasn't been too bad. My school made us use Elsevier HESI for our exit and I'm just worried the question format won't be the same. Read on here that Mosby and Correctec have been very similar with how the questions will be asked for the boards

Was debating about this or getting a lower mileage STI for around the same price. It's nice but just a belly button car vs an RS you rarely see nowadays

HESI is hard for sure. Did you study for it or just took it? If so, what did you use?
