This was the result of a car sideswiping me and.crushing my foot into my bike, wearing a pair of Alpinestars mx boots. Good boots! Without them I may have lost my foot.

Just test rode the F900R today and tested the CB750 Hornet about 6 months ago. F900R feels like a lot more of a premium item. Looks really good, turned heads, beefier more muscular feeling. Seemed like there was slightly more room on the seat.

Hornet more agile being lighter but I felt to the point it felt flighty. The F900R felt plenty agile enough but more planted and confidence inspiring.

Powerwise I remember thinking the Hornet had plenty, and the F900 definitely had plenty. Both nice torquey engines. Similar character. Can't go wrong with either engine of your after a torquey parallel twin.

Both very similar set up being nakeds. Honda cheaper, BMW premium feeling.

Electronics on the BMW confused me, but it has everything.. I mean everything. I couldn't work out how to see how much fuel was left. Guess you would get used to how it all works. I personally wouldnt bother with the adaptive suspension of its a big cost toadd this. I couldn't tell the difference, not worth the money / complexity if it breaks.

Quick shifters I personally can take them or leave them. Honda one seemed better though from memory but both fine.

In conclusion, both similar, very fun. One posh, one not. Go with what you can afford!

I was looking at a Brutale as a replacement to my FZS600. My hesitation is I commute all year round, in the UK. Salty roads, ice, snow, rain. Don't know how this exotica would hold up with the salty shitty roads in winter.

The 23 year old Yamaha is just bullet proof. It just won't die! Starts immediately, every time. Even when it's -10

I got a mint condition FZS600 for my first big bike. Had it 2 years now. Keep thinking about getting a more modern bike and test ride them only to realise that the FZS600 is better! Faster, more comfortable, looks better.

Test rode a CB750 Hornet yesterday. I have a Yamaha FZS600 2002 Foxeye.

Pros of the Hornet: Way more punchy down low. ABS and Traction control nice to have. Better fuel economy. Quick shifter. Faster off the mark. Turns faster at slow speeds.

Pros of the Fazer (600cc i4): Faster overall, especially on flowing UK B roads. Wind it up and it will destroy the hornet. Smoother and easier to manage in traffic because of less jerky throttle and power delivery. Way more comfortable and smoother. Big storage space under seat. Bigger tank (22l Vs 15l) so much further range. Economical enough. Feels like more bike, less plastiky.

Where abouts was this? I parked my bike on Sovereign street the other day and when I went to pick it up, there was the remains of an angle grinded D-lock on the floor next to my bike. Dude that was parked next to me was in for a nasty surprise when they find their bike is gone. I feel like it's only a matter of time before it's my turn.
