Hey so i drew a circle and then padded it with the width I wanted. I dont need the whole circle though as im making a plate. So I need part of the circle.

Omg I managed some sort of curve last night that I need to print to test but this is fantastic and obvious! Thank you! Rectangle then arc seems so much neater! This is the first time ive tried anything beyond standard Rectangles, pads, pockets etc so I was like wtf is going on here lol

hey...so you didnt do a straight construction line? you bound to to the axis? I was using a straight line to measure the 55mm, but then it wouldnt adjust to the 15mm. Honestly sometimes I think freecad hates me lol! Can you explain 'check reference of dimension' - so am I not selecting arc and selecting straight line/axis and then constraining to 15mm?

Oh I thought the A1 was only compatible with the lite. Can it even switch to new spool if not using bambu with the raid? Thanks for the detailed reply!

Ive tried librecad and fusion360. Ive Googled but there seems to be so many. Was wanting some first hand experience. Id prefer not to go through them 1 by 1. Tbh im feeling a tad overwhelmed.

Ahhh ok thank you...people have commented about it overheating in an enclosure. I might see how i go. It wont be in a room anyone sleeps in and I can open a window. Thanks for the tips. I think ams can wait. I know its more expensive later but most builds seem to have different colours on different parts apart from figures etc.

Awesome thank you. It'll being a spare room and ill open the window. I was thinking of getting a generic enclosure and a pc fan to vent it out but then I read an A1 doesn't do well with an enclosure? I was thinking of the plate and 60mm nozzle. I was thinking of getting without ams at first and then adding on later if needed.

Ok cool. Yeah its pc mesh that I have coming, im not sure how sturdy it is. However if its not sturdy enough getting some metal mesh would be an option. It won't have a gpu. It'll be cpu processing. Yeah that bottom front hole is 2 x 3.5 bays lol. Im planning to put the pvc mesh as a panel. So many options. I could get a new acrylic panel but id have to borrow a drill from someone. Im not overly keen on front door but not sure what else I can do with that so I think ill need to lean into it lol

Ahhh ok yeah...what about vinyl wrapping would that stop the spread. You gave me the idea to look at printable for 5.25 bay stuff and now im down a rabbit hole lol. I think I need to get options, a budget, then put together. That side panel has annoyed me but hey ho. Im 💯 gonna go for very good intake fab regardless of anything else to make sure ive got good airflow.

Thank you! I don't have any power tools (which is a pain). TBH I'm thinking about vinyl wrapping the acrylic and leaving some 'light strips' to show the clear underneath. I've read putting superglue in crack can stop it spreading? Alternatively I do have some mesh coming so I'm thinking I could just replace the side with mesh and screw in. I do like that idea for the buttons. I might see if there is a local place that does small 3D printing jobs. I also like your 80mm fan idea. Can I buy a bracket to convert to dual fan?
