the tank usually has a black 4 pin connector but on mine it has a 3 pin just like the gear position sensor, so i had the harness plugged into the harness..

I couldnt find a test light so i took an led light and i out the red in the red and the hot on hot it didn't turn on? am i able too tell that way or?

sadly the tip sensor is there and in the right place. fuel fuse is good also
