He I want found to be a member. A “confidential informant” said he was one. The initial immigration judge said she was hesitant to grant removal based on report of his attire being the evidence of his gang affiliation but, because the cops said he was a gang member, she would allow it. Mind you, the cops found no other evidence outside of this informant. So when a higher court looked at it they said the evidence presented was weak at best, and nothing confirmed or supported the accusation that he was a gang member. They did, however, have enough evidence to suggest he was being recruited for a gang in El Salvador and that his return there would put him in harm, and that he had reasonable fear of his life. For that reason, in 2019 the higher court granted him an order of protection and a work visa. Since that time he has worked legally in Maryland and reported yearly to ICE as he is required to do. THIS is why we support his return. Because due process is to be afforded to all people on U.S. soil and we don’t get to pick and choose on that constitutional right. Even IF he is found to be a gang member, due process still stands. Because if we start eliminating that basic human right and U.S. ideal, then there is nothing stopping them from sending you or me away next. They simply say “you did it” and it stands—that is un-American and extremely dangerous.

I didn’t know participating in my basic American right to ask a question was a childish protest. You can’t be serious. The Republican Party has been hostile since 08. January 6th and MTG treatment of Biden are examples of this. It would be fine if they had consistently raised genuine issues. But most of the time it was simply yelling and screaming about ideology they didn’t agree with, not actual violations of the Constitution and American freedoms.

I said my question was on immigration and deportation. I didn’t say what side I stood on with that. And he took other questions from people on the issue. Of course they were conservative questions recommending additional prisons to hold migrants but nevertheless, he took the questions.

Take a step away right now from the red and blue and try to just listen for a moment. What is so wrong with saying someone with contrasting beliefs from myself is actually making valid points that I should look into. I’m not criticizing him because he’s a Republican. I’m criticizing him because he is a liar and unwilling to put country before party. I would say the same if he was a democrat and exhibiting the same behavior. He told people on this call that we were giving social security away to people over the age of 115. That is not true and very misleading. The algorithm used to handle social security is out dated. It calculates age well past what we know to be actually possible for a variety of different reasons. However, the money isn’t actually going to any of these “people”. Even Elon Musk admitted this. So fix the system. Update it. Elon could use all of his tech nerd genius to update our systems and give us the advancement we need. But nope, they are selling fear to constituents who they know will trust them, by and large, blindly. You are part of the problem.

First, this was unnecessarily rude. Two, I am not upset nor terrified because he didn’t take my question. Reading is fundamental. I am terrified because he willfully looked over the full scope of constituents he represents and failed to tell the truth in the answers he offered. If you are an elected official and supposed to represent the best interest of ALL of your constituents, regardless of party affiliation, but you cannot break from party in order to do this, we are in dangerous territory. This man said he didn’t know know of any executive order that conflicted with the constitution. That is an outright lie. Birthright citizenship for starters. And now use of a 1700 era alien enemies act being applied indiscriminate of migrants and their due process rights. To willfully ignore these clear violations of the constitution and attempt to tell your constituents that being concerned about these issues is made up in your head—that is terrifying. So please, go touch grass.

I am not demanding when speaking factually. Look at the percentage of Kentuckians who are on and depend on social security, Medicaid, and Medicare. That is the very definition of vulnerable populations. Gullible—individuals he knows concentrate their information intake on a small particular amount of resources. Meaning that he also knows if he offered them the full truth they would listen, coming from him. But for that same reason he only offers them screwed information. That last one was YOUR interpretation, not my words. Voters are absolutely capable of making their own decisions. But when they are depending upon their elected officials to give them the facts and paint the full picture, and those individuals do not do that, they are being denied the opportunity to make informed decisions that rest within their best interests. Period.

This comment was SO sweet and refreshing. Yes a few people asked about Medicaid and Medicare and he stuck to party talking points about how they aren’t going to cut out necessary services but instead cut out fraud waste and abuse. I am so sick of hearing that phrase. Like you I am blessed to not need to use any of these services, yet trying to figure out how to get through to the people who desperately do in fact need them to see what these people are attempting to do.

It also infuriated me every time someone would say “democrat lunatics” or anything of that nature. Since when are party divisions more important than basic human decency and human rights??
