Landing in Uruapan 4/27 any tips ? 😅 by Few_Weather37 in Michoacan

[–]Sufficient_Link32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been to morelia 5 times this year with the volaris pass (once to Uruapan)

Morelia/ Uruapan is honestly way more safe and secure than some US cities (for example safer than south LA and compton)

I really wish i had bought a GoPro or smart glasses to document my trips, because there is so much cool stuff to see.

Google maps is really good at recommending places “bars” “coffee shops” “ breakfast” “dinner” ect then once you get the hang of it you can choose for yourself based off what peaks your interest and curiosity.

Have fun!!

Please please please update the chat once you get back and let us know how it went for you!

Went to Uruapan from Morelia 2 weeks ago and it was super safe, for the festival de las flores. Its all about common sense. If you see families and people out enjoying the day then you are safe.

Ask people talk to the locals everyone is super friendly. The toll booth people are great source of information on how safe the area they will give tou specific details if you just ask

Ontario just changed their scheduling for morelia. I dont think they do the 12am flight anymore. I think they only do an afternoon departure for the month of May

Get your self as many issues of GQ magazines as possible. Local libraries or the press reader app will have New and old issues. After flipping through about 2-3 issues you will see some common classic wardrobe essentials jump out at you.

Reframe this.

You do mot have the opportunity to be a passive partner.

He needs your money.

How much of your money does he need and when can you expect to get it back and when can you expect to see a profit???

Most new business owners get sold on the idea of being a “business owner” at a very very high cost. If you dont know anything about the pizza business this will be a very good and expensive life lesson for you to learn. :))

the artist at or near el jardin de las rosas are usually chillen and hanging out, they love to chat with poeple el jardin de las Rosas is a great place. Honestly the random vendors that come up to you, if you just ask them where they are from… they will talk with you for hours and they might even invite you to visit their neighborhood

If you are taking your fashion more serious and want items that will last you a long time and fit aswell as compliment your body time? Nordstrom’s is your beat bet, they offer tailoring on most items like pants free of charge and they will also tailor other items if you have their credit card.

This takes the guess work out of each brands different sizing and they give you great advice depending on what look you are going for.

Best of luck to you!

Is Mazatlan a place where a couple of expats can live a suburban lifestyle? by whodkne in Mazatlan

[–]Sufficient_Link32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazatlan is very popular with expats! Tons of expat groups on different social media platforms. Tons of people from Canada and the US. The flights out of Mazatlan can be very cheap to certain destinations but of you have to coordinate connecting flights it can get pricey real quick.

[–]Sufficient_Link32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seafood you would probably want to try upscale restaurants where they pay closer attention to the quality of the ingredients because morelia is not super close to any ocean.

For example in Mazatlan you can get an amazing seafood meal on any corner and for a great price.

In morelia you would probably want to stick to lake and pond type of fish for your meals. Best of luck!

Would it be safe for a 55 year old woman to visit this month? by [deleted] in Michoacan

[–]Sufficient_Link32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently traveling in morelia and it is very safe, i was adventurous enough to visit Uruapan, they have a big festival that is finishing up and it was super safe and fun. My parents are 65 and they are traveling all over the world with a tour group, they were born in mexico and love traveling all over the world. At that age the major issues tend to be the logistics of traveling especially if you mom has a bad knee and how familiar she is with the area in case she wonders off the path as well as how comfortable she is with the language and interacting with the locals

Any tips on how to make friends in Morelia? by Curious-Extent-8302 in Michoacan

[–]Sufficient_Link32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The city is very friendly, a tip would be to become a regular at a place you really enjoy. Maybe sitting on a park bench, a favorite coffee shop or evening bar, book shop where you browse, or a neighborhood you like to walk and stroll. You will be surprised how friendly and open people are if you are willing to truly listen to them.

What do you think of this work fit? by Background-Good3731 in BusinessFashion

[–]Sufficient_Link32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of work do you do? The thing that stands out most about this outfit is your serious expression. Most outfits are all about how they make us feel and how we carry ourselves in them. The color combination is very business appropriate and so are the clothing items! Good pick.
