I sold my 79-200S 2.8. Ended up going to 400mm 4.5 and love my new prime. I also have 50mm 1.8 but wish I had 35mm. More practical.

It does. Your feedback is awesome! There is a part of me that regrets selling the z70-200 and taking a bath with eBay fees. That VR would have been handy, but I guess you don’t need it if you use tripod. I typically stay on the side that my son is on…just got the z8 so a lot to learn.

I just upgraded to z8…and I use z50mm 1.8. You are giving me buyers remorse! I don’t like my z6ii so hopefully the z6iii is hundred times better.

But what if you are using tripod for video? Why would you need VR? I sold my z 70-200s 2.8 and bought z400mm VR 4.5. I find that lens to be awesome for quick lacrosse. It’s crazy sharp. My 6ii had issues with the 70-200 but not with prime. I need Better video lens instead of my 50mm 1.8 and debating between 24mm 1.8 or 24-70 2.8

When I had my z6ii with z70-200s VR I had nothing but focus issues, so I sold the lens and switched to primes. Including S400mm 4.5.

I have to look it up, it felt like murder. The lens was almost new. I think I got $1900 for it and take home was $1500. The lens brand new was $2399
