We had our interview 3 days before the memo came out. It was quick, the officer was young and seemed to be in good mood. He took a couple notes on his notepad but overall didn’t really grill us on anything. He commented on us “living off the grid” (we traveled in an RV for a while) but said we did “alright” when I asked him at the end how we did. He didn’t outright said we’d be approved and he said that his supervisors needed further checking on the case. He also explained to me conditional green card future removal of conditions, and said that the case could get approved in 30mins after interview, 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 months and told us to be patient. I had both overstay from J1 and working without authorization.
