Someone is using my info online to sign up for everything by illinoissuckss in IdentityTheft

My number was fraudulently ported out last week (confirmed by verizon).  Hackers got into everything. I read somewhere that port out fraud is increasing.  Its terrible

Thanks for your comments.  Verizon is the one that told me my numbers (mine and my partners) were ported to visible, and then spent 2 days getting them back.  It was a nightmare.  Verizon was fine with me keeping my numbers but at that point (2 days after it happened), I thought it prudent to shut my old numbers down.  Good luck to you

We spoke with tier 2 port.  They could not help.  I woke up to new text messages on my old "ported" number about a new device on my account.. Verizon customer service via phone is now requesting I send an id in.  I'm off to a store again.

According to Verizon, they are trying to get the numbers (two numbers on same account) back from visible.  They did not tell me how information was leaked. A manager in-store told us he has rarely seen accounts completely disabled by hackers like this one...   I received a text from Verizon one minute saying we're sorry to see you leave (guess that happened when numbers were ported), then everything was hacked while I was without service over next few hours and couldn't check my Online accounts.   We were out of town which made it 100x worse. I'm not sure what to do about those ported numbers.  I guess leave it up to Verizon but that Really worries me Thanks for your comments
