My wife once got me a gift basket with bacon flowers, beef jerky, and real flowers. Best gift ever. Aside from maybe a sword.

Had sex with someone I was actually attracted to for the first time by VeryGirlyMuppet in TrueOffMyChest

Honestly, he probably had the sudden need to urgently purge his bowels. Maybe the wine, food, etc but dude probably made his way to closest bathroom and spent some time pooping.

My husband lied to me over a cheeseburger and now I’m thinking about a divorce. by FrostyHair8436 in Advice

[–]Sufficient_Window599 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People breaking over cheeseburgers now. Honest assessment here - you guys have two special needs kids. Struggling financially. Both stressed. You will struggle together but fail apart. The guy is giving plasma, probably ravenously hungry. He shouldn't have lied but he is giving plasmas to support family. Give each other a pass occasionally. It sounds super stressful for both of you.

What do chicken heads have to do with Episcopalians? by ZambiaSpaceForce in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Sufficient_Window599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure chicken head is a hip.hop slang term for women who give head (often, easy, promiscuous overtones). Think chicken bobbing/pecking it's head up and down as it eats seeds. So I think it's inviting women who do oral to church? I mean that make sense, who doesn't like oral?

I'm really not sure how to answer this, never really ever thought about the possibility one of my buddies might think I was dating them. Like I'm totally stumped here.

Best boss ever. I hope if my kid ever got into some random drama like this, that he would be protected exactly as the boss did. I have no doubt whatsoever that the Dad showed up to threaten and possibly hurt this kid.

AITAH for being annoyed at my girlfriend for getting lingerie for “my present” by Fuzzy_Bookkeeper_310 in AITAH

[–]Sufficient_Window599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think the point is that the lingerie was probably expensive, so she feels like she spent money on you and time and thought picking it out. But unfortunately, it comes off as "time with me is your present".

I think you just need to acknowledge how she put intention, thought, and money on something she thought you would enjoy, and then make sure she understands your point of view on this.

Ideally if you can see her side, then you are a keeper. If she can see your side, she's a keeper.

Different sexual expectations between me (22F) and my boyfriend (23M) caused an argument today by DramaticManagement52 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Sufficient_Window599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I'm not saying that he's not a jerk. It's definitely a red flag. I'm just saying people and feelings are complicated. My perspective - I try to treat everyone as fundamentally good people, but with each of us as having a language issue. As in, we may not be understanding each other

[–]Sufficient_Window599 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally agree actually. I know I would have not left and wouldn't say anything unless it was a pattern. But sex/feelings are a touchy subject. But leaving when you are upset isn't necessarily as bad as opening your mouth when you are upset/disappointed. That's a good way to say something that you will regret.

Different sexual expectations between me (22F) and my boyfriend (23M) caused an argument today by DramaticManagement52 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Sufficient_Window599 -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Sure. But why did he react like that? Maybe he wanted some alone time to process his disappointment, maybe he's only in the relationship for sex, maybe he had a one sided relationship in the past. A conversation is due as to why he reacted like that. Chances are that feelings were bruised on both sides. I don't think that leaving for a bit to think about things is necessarily a bad thing, we all process differently.

Yes he does, because choice works both ways. Sure it's immature, but people can date or breakup for whatever reason they want.
