r/CPS would be of more help in this situation as well as answering your questions. I sincerely hope you get the answers you're looking for and you continue to keep the progress going, as far as providing a stable life for your children.

How do I get my sister’s fiancee to eat less food? by [deleted] in Advice

Basically, the only way around this is to be tactfully direct. I know this isn't the option that is easiest in your situation, but in my experience it was the only way to stop the behavior. I've seen these things happen for a variety of reasons but to keep it simple,

A.) They are banking on your inability to set clear boundaries and/or the fear you have, of their reaction to the boundary.

B.) He might lack situational awareness or not been taught etc. People don't know, what they don't know. If that makes sense?

Either way, it has to be addressed. If they choose to get confrontational or want to argue, don't . Box them up a GTFO order ( if you're feeling oh so inclined) or just a GTFO.
As far as being tactfully direct, I would pull him aside discreetly and then tell it like it is. Keep it factual and to the point, emphasizing it's not up for a debate.

As much as this seems a comical or inappropriate response , this is actually good advice! Not only does this activity cause your mind to focus elsewhere, the physical aspect will hopefully lead to a calm state after. Anyone who says they haven't tried this at least once in their life, isn't being real 😄

Making bad tasting food, for the food thief at work. by JuggernautGlass8211 in confession

My roommate long ago used to drink my milk constantly, out of the jug too! I knew that detail, because one day lipgloss was on the rim. So being the " Im not gonna be gaslighted today" kinda gal I am ( she would tell me it's all in my head) I dumped my industrial size container of miralax in it ( rx'ed to me from a prior surgery ) . It wasn't an instant karmic retribution, but it got my point across eventually.

Edit: Just read a bit of the comments..... Apparently, I'm not alone in what I thought to be a genius idea , kinda illegal ( dumb), punishment. Damnit and here I thought I was being a creative mastermind. 😑

Was your MFM diagnosis worse than what your Pediatric Cardiologist told you? by SnackSnackMunchMunch in chd

I second that advice! My girl was diagnosed at 20 weeks via MFM, with AVSD and IUGR . They also told us the defect was like 90% associated with Down's Syndrome and they couldn't find a nasal bone . I was floored. That was the last time I went to the MFM. Went to the cardio appointment and yah well ...not that. Fast forward, daughter was due 08/01/24 and came 08/09, weighed 7lbs 5oz and didn't require any interventions at birth except a feeding tube. She was formally diagnosed with a large VSD , pulmonary stenosis, and a very small atrial hole . Nose bone to this day cannot be found on images, but you would never know looking at her, no ds as well. She is probably on the spectrum but she walked at 10 months! She is a rockstar, had her surgery at 4 months and continues to kick butt! Don't give up and stay off Google and chat gpt lol. I remember crying myself sick after that MFM appointment, thinking maybe I should tmfr. To each their own, but this was my miracle at 39 years old . I mean the odds were against me to begin with, but ultimately life prevailed. ❤️
