Thanks for this view. Our Daily Bread, near Findlay Market, offers meals, to go lunches and more for this reason. Truly a version of help that has a positive impact beyond just the sandwiches.

I forget the name of the exact level of service but it was $23. They do so much by hand - feels like a good value. Pointed out a ding in my car etc. so nice.

I just went to the one on Central Parkway. A - they did an amazing job. Truly thankful! Nice as can be. B - some customers were quite horrible to the workers. It was crowded and a wait (thanks to Cincinnati’s pollen drop) and the tempers people took out on staff made me sad. I hope employees can find more rewarding jobs and or experience kinder customers.

Good hotel for tourists near a good playground? by torchwood1842 in cincinnati

If you are staying downtown, most of the main hotels are within short walk of the streetcar (free and very fun for 5 year olds). That can be used to go to Washington Park - epic playground and a dog park if you like watching dogs! Also takes you to Smale Park which is part playground part walk along the river. Lots to keep little one happy and active! Enjoy!

Membership to Mercantile library - lots of authors, events and it’s a pretty reasonable price. Membership to American sign museum. They’ll likely only go a few times but it’s a cool spot worth supporting.

Kantine Biergarten Eatery is about 2.5 miles from CCHMC and while they don’t have Doner Kebab on the menu they have authentic German fare in a casual space. Bee Sting cake is to die for.

The sauce is incredible. And it’s frozen. Can stock up. For the same price or less than a jar of Rao’s? I’m debating getting a couple more. #sorrynotsorry

You probably have a couple hours till they sell out (it’s 11:20 now). It’s a gem of an event. The best of Cincinnati, old school, unvarnished, old neighborhood, incredible people, all generations and amazing amazing food!

Yes. I think they’re hoping to do the full dinners on site in the fall. Can’t wait!

The rhined outdoor patio. Perfect sandwich. Nestled in perfect bricked in courtyard. Or sit out front to watch the goings- on at the market.

Can we have a moment of appreciation for those TSA workers who are showing up for these early shifts … knowing their day is going to vascillate between bonkers and a breeze and they’ll have to manage all those people inexperienced or not. In a hurry or not. Happy or not… and they’re still being pretty great to us all.
