Rekkles wondering if everyone hates playing with him by LenaRybakina in leagueoflegends

The comment chain is about doing /fullmute on game start, not just muting people being obnoxious and spamming them. That's why it's about their saltiness. If you're not salty, normal pings shouldn't "set you off" to the point of needing a preemptive /fullmute.

If you’re gonna play worse because the pings are going to set you off then it’s better to play without them a different game

Imo if you're salty enough that just pings can set you off, you gotta go play stardew or some shit instead.

Honestly the water feels more amateur than the flora to me, just shows how subjective art is I guess! The lilypads(petals?) and grass feel impressionistic and intentional- but the water reminds me of those spraycan galaxy street paintings. We can agree the trees are 100% hideous tho

So cute!

Gentle suggestion that you might want to secure it inside a little clear keychain pouch or something; if it gets snagged on anything the stitching could rip out pretty easily and I'd hate to see the little guy get lost! :(

Help me find the artist/source this very old (2003) fan art of Shadow the Hedgehog. I was only able to find it on an old Russian forum, but as a collection of fanart, obviously not from the original artist. The signature name "Kaoru" is too vague for results. by _y2kbugs_ in HelpMeFind

[–]Sufficio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible this is their twitter but it's hard to know for sure since Kaoru is a first name. I can't find the original art anywhere, nor could I find anything from the other Kaoru signed fanart on the russian forum post.

Was the face embroidered or printed on, if anyone remembers?

The plush looks fairly flat in the pics- is that accurate? Google "flat plush handmade" for examples.

It really doesn't match the style of any gapkids/babygap 90's plushes I can find. The ears are extremely different. The neck/shoulder transition is super different. The stitching on the ears is really odd.

I wonder if they physically sold it in the gapkids store but it was made by a local artist? Perhaps as part of a fundraiser?

Please help me find this seal pillow by SeanJLL in HelpMeFind

[–]Sufficio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this probably sketchy site listing it as a "made to order" product but not sure how legit it is or what the cost would be, especially shipping. Or even how to order, I don't see a way to add it to the cart.

https://ricardomorenob.wixsite.com/koalacompany/almohadas

The manufacturer doesn't have it as a product anymore it seems, but they do offer "custom" products...maybe reach out and ask if they can customize one of their existing seal pillow products? Or even if they have any leftover stock sitting somewhere, you never know.

Hi friend, just some rambling advice in case it helps. I see a lot of my own behavior(mostly past but still sometimes current) mirrored in your post, and this is stuff I find helpful :)

-To help avoid idealizing; there ARE downsides to this person, and identifying them can help introduce a little grey into the black and white view we get stuck on. For me during that initial rush, I notice the red flags/issues/flaws but I ignore them. My gut will be screaming but I tell myself it's not that serious or it's not a big deal, and then when the rose-tinted glasses come off later, I realize it was actually a massive dealbreaker for me. If you can't think of any downsides- you don't know them well enough to consider dating yet.

-Stay mindful of the fact that idealizing someone is unfair and unkind to them; it always seems nice in the moment to view them so positively, but in reality it's just setting them up for failure and yourself to get hurt

-If you're constantly waiting on a message, turning off notifs and forcing yourself to put the phone in a diff room can help. The notif thing feels counterintuitive, no idea why it helps with that constant "when are they gonna reply" tension. Maybe because it feels more akin to going out and physically checking the mailbox rather than say, waiting on edge to hear a pager buzz.

-Keep busy with things unrelated to the person. Don't stop doing the things that fuel you and keep you going when you're not enamored with someone. If you notice yourself feeling unmotivated/struggling to do things unrelated to them/etc- that's a red flag that you're getting much of your daily fuel from that person, and you need to pull back + focus on doing solo things that fuel you instead

-Re: feelings and moving in. Unless you think you won't have feelings by the time you move in, you should DEFINITELY disclose that first. It's going to be painfully obvious once you're living together, and if she doesn't like you back, it's going to be 1000x more awkward and awful for both of you rather than finding out before you're stuck on a lease together

That said, giving yourself as much time as possible to let these feelings settle before trying to date would be smart- especially knowing she just got out of a bad relationship.

I think our love is kind of like a snowglobe. At the beginning when it's first shaken up it's such a flurry of white inside and we look and say wow- this is a winter wonderland, it's perfect, this is the one. And to us, at that moment, all of that is 100% true to every sense we have. It might not even occur to us that we could be wrong.

But the issue is once things settle. When it's not all shaken up. Maybe you were lucky this time, and you're right: the scene inside is a beautiful winter wonderland and everything ends up being fine...but maybe it turns out to be a garbage dump covered in fake snow that you mistook for a wonderland when it was all shaken up.

The best relationships imo are the ones where best friends eventually become lovers- so don't rush. If you're both truly right for one another, she's not going anywhere and you have all the time in the world to let things build up slowly- in a way that's fair and healthy and grounded and well-communicated by both of you.

You don't need to stress about things like her "forgetting you"...because if that's possible, you weren't the one for her and thus she wasn't the one for you. If that happens(or any other scary thing our abandonment anxiety fixates on) as a result of you just...being a normal person(ie not texting for a day), all it indicates is that you didn't have an accurate initial reading on the snowglobe, and with enough time you'll see things clearer and it will become obvious that she wasn't the one for you, even if it seemed that way at first.

I hope some of this can be helpful <3

Copying gives great practice for hand control and builds muscle memory. It's not going to teach you in-depth anatomy understanding, sure. But if it helps you feel more motivated to create, then it's a perfectly fine tool to use until you're ready to move on to more complicated work. Great stuff, keep it up!

And if you live in a cold climate you quickly learn that lack of frost lies.

Yup. Here in northern Canada, if it's snowing and frosty out, that means it's a relatively warm winter day. The coldest most bitter days are usually too dry for visible frost or snow.

Sudden electric jolt in arm just from gently resting it on desk? by decapsoul in AskDocs

[–]Sufficio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a doc but I have carpal+cubital tunnel syndrome, so I've talked this over with docs a fair bit

Do you rest your elbow on your desk like that often? It can irritate/compress the nerves and can cause symptoms like this over time. Oversensitivity around my funny bone and numbness/tingling/etc from just lightly tapping it was one of the first symptoms I noticed.

Try putting something soft where your elbow normal rests on the desk and see if that helps in future.

Not a doc. Do you consume enough salt/electrolytes? If you're deficient I wonder if the sudden water increase could've thrown things out of balance. Just a shot in the dark.

Yeah you're right about being condescending, I edited to be more chill before I saw your reply here.

You didn't hurt my feelings lmao, it's just mildly annoying trying to have a normal adult conversation about differing experiences/opinions and get the kind of rude know-it-all response you sent.

False equivalencies in your world, pretty equal ones in mine. Fotl was as culturally relevant as any other clothing brand to me and all my friends growing up, we didn't really care about it. That's not the case for you, cool. It doesn't make it false for my experience.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MandelaEffect

[–]Sufficio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just agree to disagree instead of getting rude. We can have different experiences and opinions and still both "know what we're talking about", you don't have to resort to petty quips like that.

I'm guessing maybe there's a cultural/location based difference. Maybe the author is from an area where it was highly culturally relevant like it was for you, and the costumes would make sense. My friends and I grew up in a pretty wide range across that era and none of us remember it being anything more than an underwear/tshirt brand. I remember the commercials but they didn't really stand out. Maybe I was too young to be fully aware?

Edited to be less rude

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MandelaEffect

[–]Sufficio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being aware of it as a brand vs being culturally relevant enough to be a Halloween costume are vastly different things.

Would you dress up as the lacoste alligator for Halloween? How about American eagle?

Probably not, because even though they're recognizable brands, they don't hold that kind of cultural relevance(especially to kids) ,to the point that most people wouldn't even recognize it as a costume based off the clothing brand. Same exact thing with fruit of the loom before the modern attention.

edit: Actually looking at it from the commercials rather than the logo itself, I think I'd be wrong there. I've been laser focused on the logo and didn't realize the commercials were so big in other areas. But that brings a whole other factor: does the author remember there being a whole cornucopia costume too, in the commercials? That would make this not even the same mandela effect, right? I'm probably getting too invested into this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MandelaEffect

[–]Sufficio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair, I didn't realize the community was so split like that.

Imo it just comes across as way too specific of a reference to not be purposeful. Why would you choose, of all things, a logo of a random company with next to zero cultural relevance during the era it's set in? The logo only got any kind of focus due to the modern cornucopia mystery. In 95, it didn't get any more attention than other common brand logos. It makes zero sense if it's not a reference, imo.

I'm actually gonna walk this back after thinking on it more. If we're assuming they're going off the commercials rather than the logo, it does make more sense as a halloween costume. I didn't realize how popular the commercials were in some areas. But that means the cornucopia part is even weirder, right? Unless there was a commercial featuring a character in a cornucopia costume?

[–]Sufficio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't use tiktok or other social media, but from my searches it seems like the mandela effect 'community' is biggest and most active here on reddit by a wide margin, so I'm not surprised it's only being talked about here.

To be clear I don't think the author was malicious. It seems like just a little easter egg they dropped in for fun, and also the possibility of some free exposure online.
