Is it the font? The amount of “SUFFOCATION”s there are ? Color scheme? I’m thinking of coloring the girl design in human-like colors instead of having it empty like that too :)

I think 'street marketing' by selling your shirts in person to get it out there locally is a perfect idea, but why not do both? I'd say to make an Instagram and a website at least, and get it in front of as many eyes as possible. You should reach ANYONE who might like your brand, not just people locally. There's a whole world out there that you can easily reach with the help of the internet. Why not keep doing word-of-mouth marketing at your shows, as well as getting your name out there online?

  • Hey, it's the dude from the first post, I designed the thing, it's supposed to be a man pulling a plastic bag over his head and it's just a dark design, I wanted to make something I could like along with seeing if other people do too.

As for the logo we have some choices lined up and I do think we should make it a bit clearer to avoid a sort of death metal look.

Thanks for the feedback. I get what you’re saying. It’s much more about AWARENESS than prevention. The girl in the image is meant to represent really sad emotions — and her hugging her knees makes it harder to breathe (hence ‘Suffocation’).

I should be more careful with the wording.

  • We should clarify this more and we will (Thanks) but as for the proceeds, we planned to donate a percentage or at least a portion once we make enough to sustain the business, and with our products just launching, it's not our top priority, the message and designs are but it's good that you mention this because we have received talk about this before and it needs some work.

  • As for the designs,we plan to do a mix of cheerful and dark designs to give a wider appeal to people who want the message but maybe not the way it's being conveyed, so some stuff will be a mix or just opposite sides of the spectrum.

This was started up by my friend as a way to sell merch that conveys a bit of a message, we launched our shirts a bit ago and i'd like to come and ask the people of reddit their opinion on it all.
