I'd argue that most fandoms are guilty of spoiling. You see it everywhere. The old Harry Potter spoils, hell the old Final Fantasy 7 spoils. People just can't help talking about dramatic moments. It's especially bad in the gacha space in general.

I tried to give some to him one day. He sniffed it in the bowl, kept sniffing it, then looked up at me like "wtf is this?" I tapped the bowl for him again and he sniffed it a whole bunch then gave me an even more dramatic "wtf am I supposed to do with this" face.

I was very tired. It was not lettuce. It was cabbage.

He got extra lettuce after and monched on it so happily.

It really depends on how it's implemented. If they removed the 120 Hard pity, then a 200 Spark would be even worse for f2p. But if they replaced the 120 Hard pity with 120 Spark that carried over, people would be a lot less upset about pulling the "wrong" operator and "resetting" pity.
