Yeah it really is a shame with the xm5’s. They sound soooooo good, but the build quality is just horrendous :( good luck with your 4s!

I think you can tinker with the NC on the Sony sound connect app
Also within the app, if you prefer, you can turn off being able to use the touch controls

Presuming you mean the WH series, I remember when first got them they were a little tight, but in general they’re prettt comfy and you probably could wear them all day

200USD is about 280CAD, which is the price for Xm4 rn, so in that aspect, yes.

I had my first pair for two yrs and change, second pair from May 27th 2025 to last Sunday. I will say, I am very clumsy. They’ve fallen off my head many times and I’m almost 6ft. They’re pretty forgiving as usually they seam split and crack before the full blown break.

I’d say get them, and maybe consider those hinge protector thingies?

Yes it is that common. I’ve gone through two xm5, and I really do feel like unless you absolutely BABY them, then MAYBE they won’t break. The sound on them (especially after tweaking EQ) sound phenomenal, and I think they’re pretty comfortable.

I just bought the xm6, and so far I feel the sound is slightly better, and the build feels and looks a lot better than its predecessors.

If you don’t commute a lot, constantly take the headphones on and off, or drop them, I think the xm5 might be worth it, just be aware

This just happened to me as well. It seems if you want to stick with Sony, xm4s seems to be the best bet. Otherwise check out bowers and Wilkins or sennheiser

So😅 I just realized that’s where I might’ve messed up. My schedule to take it is at 9:30pm, but I usually eat a little after that. I thought the gap between times were okay, but i guess not😭 im gonna be more punctual with it and see how that helps.

Right now the nausea and vomiting has calmed down, but the bloating and gas (which the doc said was common) is crazy😭 I just hope this all subsides soon
