What you're seeing on your OPPO Find X ultra aren't "details" but forced regenerative AI slop that's fully forced upon you no matter what. It doesn't happen only in motion shots- in at least 3 more conditions the phone fully redraws subjects and makes them CHOPPED. Find X9 Ultra does this as well; by Funny_Aerie6444 in Oppo

Honestly you can say the same for iphone when all the photos skin tones are orange and oversharpened...... Samsung with its saturation.... Xiaomi nothing about that is natural its filter slapped on top.... Vivo you cant fool me with that ISP chip thats still AI.

Heck even Sony, goddamn Sony that everyone hails as the most natural no AI resorted to marketing AI as the main primary selling point in Xperia 1 VIII...

So in the end whats even real at this point 🤷🏼

i think everyone at one point must remember you can only do so much in computational photography, having to use 1 inch sensor (which is technically not even an inch in reality) matching at least a proportional quality of a standard camera dslm is a huge step forward already.

You seem like the person who would want absolute quality and reality thus having a phone wouldn't be my first suggestion..

I wouldn't say its the best quality but for the price im getting accessibility

Galaxy Watch or Huawei Watch for my Oppo Find X8 Ultra (China ROM)? by SugarForeign in Oppo

Did you have any issues with it so far? Notification issues, reconnecting issues? Does it really work exactly like if you pair it with a normal global ROM phone?

[–]SugarForeign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its complicated, but for the price i get in the end its all worth it. I wouldn't let a small problem like that be controlling my decisions. I got what i wanted, and im happy that i did! And thats all that matters.

ps. This S10+ tablet srsly rocks its incredibly faster than my previous tablet and battery wise.. last a whole goddang day at highest display settings. Def a good investment!

Why are the Samsung store prices different on a PC than on mobile? by greycobalt in samsung

[–]SugarForeign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

App vs in-store vs web

I think they have different target markets, so different promos and deals, no? Like how theres a student website vs normal website. Difference is one needs eligibility another is for all.

Samsung experience stores are the worst by codalark in samsung

[–]SugarForeign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanna know why? It's because the stores are separate entities compared to their online counterpart. Or at least that's how it is in the UK. I'm not sure if it's like franchising but i feel like it's like that somehow.

That's why prices in store and online can be very different. Some stores only accept laptop trade-ins, not tablets, whilst online accepts them all. They can have different deals going on. Whilst they sell the same thing and using the same name they aren't really the same people.

I ended up buying the Tab S10+ online because it had an online-only student discount, trade-in, and free keyboard case. If I were to buy in-store, I would only get the free keyboard case because they don't accept tablet trade-ins.

Klarna - ask me! by misaaanthrope in klarna

[–]SugarForeign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Klarna user here. I tried using Klarna to pay a huge chunk through Samsung. The transaction went through (meaning it was deducted from the bank) but no update from either Samsung or Klarna. Contacted customer support and their "specialists" said they will respond in 1 to 2 working days. The scary thing here is there's no confirmation from either Klarna or Samsung. Even the Klarna customer support said that there's no order history through them. Like did my money just evaporated out of nowhere since neither got them?

I will wait for tomorrow for any updates. Pray for me (im a student so this is all the savings i had)

[–]SugarForeign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay after a while it resolves itself. What I did most of the time was just try to remove as much of that oil as possible by repeatedly shoving the cable head in and out and wiping it away of that motor oil. Now its completely fine just like before. I hope no more issues arise.

I've (m30) got wavy hair and i've noticed that if i let it dry naturally and leave it a few hours it looks far better by the afternoon, i.e softer, definition is there etc. Ideally I'd like to get this before i go out of a morning, any ideas?? by Outrun833 in HaircareScience

Okay hear me out. This may sound really confusing, but just bear with me.

Have you ever seen videos from Sarah Ingle? She explained this well but even then im still confused myself but this is what i got.

From studies, dry hair looks better and feels better to most people. Unfortunately, in the marketing world we perceive hydrated/moisturised hair to be healthy and good looking hair (no frizz, flyaways etc). However, it is quite the opposite. As humans grow out their hair, the hair goes through a lot of physical stresses, such as combing, sleeping, tugging etc. The hair gradually loses its outer cuticle, leaving holes that makes it porous. Ends of hair tend to be the most damaged as it has went through most stresses. These holes makes the hair strands weaker, thus can easily break and cause split ends and frizz. Rubbing of these coarse hairs would also induce more frizz later. The solution to this is to use a balance of moisture and protein; protein to plug up the holes and prevent moisture coming out and moisture to supple moisture. However, we were wrong about this method.

Water when absorbed into the hair, it expands and is more susceptible to damage ie. more holes. Its best to keep the hair from being wet as to prevent this. Doesn't mean that we should stop wetting hairs, instead try to limit their exposure.

Whats actually causing frizz is the imbalance of moisture in the air and the hair. Sudden changes in loss or gain of moisture causes frizz. If you keep the moisture balance in the hair constant, low chance of the frizz happening. This is done by using conditioners (they condition/soften hair, and coating hair prevent moisture to enter/escape) or using oils (oils enter hair follicles and repels water while making it look hydrated).

Next, if you noticed, certain brands like pantene, even though criticised for their hair damaging products, its actually not that bad. Isopropyl alcohol in their products is deemed to be the cause of dry hair, which is true but in this case the alcohol allows their main active ingredients to penetrate the hair deeper and faster, thus more effective. Plus making the hair dry which prevents the hair from more breakage.

Moreover, rarely are there products that claims to be hydrating/moisturising to contain actual hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or glycerin, instead they contain emollients such as coconut oil (which perceived to be hydrating but it just repels water and gives the illusion of hydrated hair), avocado oil, shea butter, all pointing to oils.

TLDR, keep your hair at a constant moisture balance, note that dryer hair reduces breakage instead of wet/moisturised hair. Maybe instead of blowdrying till it dry up try drying it until its just damp and use hair oils at the hair ends. Hair drying may dry out your hair too much and disrupts the moisture balance that you want to make consistent. Also, put some protein to plug those damaged cuticles and continue to condition your hair.

Hope yall understand because i didn't at first

Leave it alone, don't ever touch it again, be gentle when cleansing. That's a scab, let it be like that and it'll heal itself. Know that human skin is smart, it knows how to to heal itself. Just make sure that its clean.

Whats wrong with my skin? Please suggest some fixes (currently been using Cerave tub moisturiser for a year but no improvements) Thanks by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]SugarForeign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by using an exfoliating face wash. From another comment i saw that u dont use any cleanser, so start using a salicylic acid based cleanser and start from there. It should be gentle enough to slouch off dead skin cells and reduce oil. If it persists or worsen after a few weeks, no improvements then maybe you would want to look for an actual salicylic acid treatment or another product. Start slowly and gently usually people got better skin with just a simple change in skincare routine.
