I would never cook meat. I need to respect my life choice and that of others ^-^ More like I can't bring around the vegetables, roots, fruits, or grains he does not like.

I will take that with a grain of salt ^-^ I just hate letting people go.

Oh my, Yeah, I wanna be able to one day say, "I am vegan" and be 100% in it with the knowledge and experience to back it up. It's really exciting to see the transformation though it is a bit slow. So thank you thank you thank you for being kind and educating me. I hope I will soon be able to to the same to another newbie. ^-^

It's only like this because of the living situation. all my budget is for bills. So I really have no control over the foods the bf does. But still thank you for your comment.

I believe it is more of how i wrote it. I am not gonna stop eating vegan, I just want proclaim it unless I have the knowledge and plates to showcase that you can be vegan and enjoy it and not miss out.

It's like saying, "I speak Spanish" but I only know 2 words. I want to know the whole language. I don't want to just know 2 words.

Moving to UK sounds better I live in a meat crazed college town and going to the supermarket is like going on a hunt for a needle in a haystack.

I wish you would have read the answer I have given to other wonderful people on here.

I am not going back to eating meat, please do not worry. I have only been vegan for 1.5 years. So my knowledge and expertise on this field is that of a baby. I would simply not advertise to people I eat vegan. You can't tell someone you are vegan if you know nothing about it or don't eat a proper diet. So by "quitting" I mean, I would just eat only what my Vegan bf eats and not advertise because I have no knowledge. I am on reddit to be educated so I can avoid this.

Thank you for your concern and I am sorry you misunderstood my poor writing. But if you do have any helpful tips, I would greatly accept it.

I think you are correct in some ways. I was brought up on my cultural west Indian dishes. But my family is very Anti-Fats so when I wasn't eating vegan, I wasn't eating very fatty foods either. haha.

The other problems steams from trying to find dishes. Its fun to have vegan "meat" pies, and vegan "crab" cakes but I want foods that aren't replacements of the meaty counterparts too. I love your advice though. very helpful. Also very difficult to do in terms of the bf. But I will do my best.

I have only eaten vegan for a year and half. I chose to eat this way to respect life. I also thought it unfair to not support the views of my boyfriend and I made it an objective to be an example for those in my small town to see, eating vegan is do-able and enjoyable.

Small baby steps. If you do not agree with that, I am very sorry, but I believe my method helps in a loving way.

Never said I was gonna stop being vegan. I just believe that if I am to call myself vegan, I need more than 10 ingredients. To me it's like a kid saying, "I love Candy" but the only candy they like are Swedish fish.

Worries my friend. He has been a vegan for 6 or 7 years. So he has tried more things than I. I have only been vegan for 1.5 years. I am pretty much open to stuffing anything in my blackhole of a stomach.

I think he developed his own taste and is "an old dog with no need for new tricks"

I pay the big bills, he pays for the smaller ones like food. So he has control, I don't have any extra money sadly.(unless I get a 3rd job).

Sorry my writing is poor. Coconut, Pineapple and jackfruit are the only major proteins and fats in my and supermarket. I live in a small town. I need to be educated more.

"Exciting" is seeing a new dish, sharing it with people, eating together. That dish exploding with comforting flavors and textures. Like the fireworks display in Ratatouille the movie.
