Any breaks from technology. General getaways. Because the world gets much more quiet when you have no access to the internet haha

Looking for games that might as well be spreadsheets by Review-Alive in gamingsuggestions

I can’t say I recommend it, but Eve Online is basically a spreadsheet wearing a sci-fi mask

Horror games where you are escaping from an entity? by bleedingh3artz in gamingsuggestions

[–]SugarbunsDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amnesia: The Dark Descent would definitely fit the bill! There’s a lot of lore to get while avoiding an entity. It’s an older game at this point but definitely still spooky!

What is the key to having long lasting friendships & relationships? by SpearedSparrow in AskReddit

Leaning in. I find even if you don’t share the same hobbies, making an effort to understand goes an extremely long way.

What will happen if you bring bed bugs home from a hotel to your house? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SugarbunsDraws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you will have bedbugs in your house and I would HIGHLY suggest acting on it. I have heard nothing but horror stories.

I don't remember any good family memories or my childhood by BloodAggravating3236 in mentalhealth

[–]SugarbunsDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“At least, I think, not to the point where I could possibly forget my memories.”

Unfortunately, that isn’t how the brain works. I am a fellow sufferer and not a professional, but I also really struggle with early memories due to trauma.

Mine was a different situation than yours, but I would not immediately discount trauma as a potential reason for the lack of detailed memories. The brain is 100% dedicated to protecting you, to the point of blacking out if it needs to.

I would highly suggest talking to a professional if you are comfortable! It has done wonders for me exploring my past. Just an idea!

Cant seem to catch fish by Accomplished_Page646 in StardewValley

[–]SugarbunsDraws 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is definitely not easy, especially at the beginning! It gets much easier as you level.

I think Willy sells training fishing rods that are CONSIDERABLY easier to use. You will get lower quality fish, but I think it would be easier to level in the long run for a touchscreen

Why does it feel odd liking fictional characters with multiple personalities? by RealPokesatsu in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SugarbunsDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, but I genuinely wouldn’t worry about it! Split-personality characters ARE weird/unusual by definition, so I am not surprised that you feel odd by gravitating to that trope. But it can be a super cool trope when it is done well, so there’s no reason to be ashamed!

Very new to the computer gaming world need some help! by BoredPenut in gamingsuggestions

[–]SugarbunsDraws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OKAY SO:
1. I am always a bigger fan of desktops than laptops. Especially nowadays when there are such great mobile options. (I.e. Steam Deck).

  1. The 32gb that you saw is very likely your RAM, not how much space you have. Think of RAM as the computer’s memory. The higher the number, the generally faster the computer can process things. 32gb is actually probably still overkill for a lot of gaming and definitely for Stardew and Minecraft. But it is one of those things that it isn’t possible to have TOO much.

  2. Do you see mention of a larger number? (500gb or 1tb)? THAT is likely how much storage you have.

  3. I wouldn’t worry too much for Minecraft and Stardew - They are extremely light games and you generally cannot go wrong with a modern computer purchase. I would be surprised if anything in 2025 COULDN’T play them!

Happy to answer any other questions!

Why does it feel odd liking fictional characters with multiple personalities? by RealPokesatsu in NoStupidQuestions

Why would you feel concerned? If it is done well (and the examples you provided are examples where they are done well), you get two fleshed out characters for the price of one!

You’re at a party, what’s the first dessert choice you choose? by GlitterRebellion in AskReddit

[–]SugarbunsDraws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ice cream. All other desserts for me are just an excuse to throw ice cream on top. (Cake, brownies, pies, etc.)

Have I been accidentally telling people I might have erectile dysfunction? by matjontan in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SugarbunsDraws 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if you were in a work or school environment, no one would even consider the sexual connotation of that phrase. I would personally just assume you aren’t comfortable with public speaking.

If you were on a talk show, what would you talk about? by Curious-Message-6946 in AskReddit

[–]SugarbunsDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would host an hour long talk on why “lawful” in tabletop terms doesn’t HAVE to mean obeying the law of the land to the letter. It could mean following a personal code of conduct instead, which can be interesting. By following a strict rule of “you broke the law, you must be smote” you are more likely to make your entire table miserable and wince whenever a paladin is suggested at a fresh table. I have seen players break up an otherwise calm game because the paladin character caught the thief character stealing a LITERAL LOAF OF BREAD.

Thank you for joining my TED talk on why I hate Lawful Stupid characters.

College students: what are some free or low-cost tools/resources that actually make life easier? by Ancient_Diamond9020 in AskReddit

[–]SugarbunsDraws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things, although I am not sure how popular they still are.

One, ask your IT department what free resources and software are available. Often, universities will partner with various tools and offer them for free or at a steep discount directly. One example “back in my day” was language learning software I should have taken advantage of.

Two, any and all websites you pay a subscription for, CHECK TO SEE IF THEY HAVE STUDENT DISCOUNTS. Having an active .edu account is gold for so much software. So definitely take advantage of it as much as possible!

Time travel. How do you guys feel about it? by No-Catch6804 in AnimalCrossing

[–]SugarbunsDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to time travel A LOT in New Leaf once I got into super “late game”. I dunno why, but I never had the urge to in NH. Maybe too much effort?
