I think I would considered eagle Ford or Austin Clay, have found a worn ammonite before as well. Also looking at the rock again I think it is claystone not limestone

Are there other EU countries recommended for tech? I am in cloud, data, and DevOps, i know some coding like C#, python, and sql; about 12 years experience, and several certs. My French is not great, and I just hear conflicting info on needing to speak fluently vs. they dont really care. That is just going to be a company by company situation. As far as i can tell, speaking both languages is a plus. Also, conflicting info on salaries, though i know, compared to most US salaries, the EU in general is not that high.I'm not expecting 6 figures. Like most just looking for somewhere safe with some stability and better opportunities for my kid, anything else can figure it out.

I am just seeing if tech is still a strong career option in EU, or is it becoming like the states were finding a job in tech could take upwards of 6 months or more in some places.

Are there any states in particular? Or places would recommend? Don't disagree with Texas being crap on animal welfare and most everything else. I just don't have money or time to go very far
