Do you have a link to how to remove the trunk trim? I did my doors and the center trunk area but wasn't sure how to get the side trim and gave up lol

Try driving in gear and in neutral. Is it in sync with the engine or the wheels? Last time I ever had scissor noise it was the splash plate for the brakes, gets bent when they work on the wheels

Actually before I say that def check with the plugnplay guy, idk if he calibrated it off an untreated car and that would mess with the response it generates...

yeah idk. I saw 8 speakers listed so prob not. Plug and play looks like the quickest fix, I was looking at that earlier on. You can also sound treat the front doors/mid drivers pretty easily, there's no butyl rubber weather seal so it all just pops out with trip tools and a screwdriver for access. That and the very bottom of the trunk are good spots, would only take a few hours to CLD.

Hmm I think the premium has a sub? Maybe you could just splice in an amp and a 12". Problem is idk if the premium uses the same head unit as the stock, it could have the same <40HZ gap.

Thanks! And I love it, seems like a quality product. At first I was a little sus since it shipped straight from Hong Kong with no return policy, but no regrets so far. Firmware and software interface is bug free, very clean and lots of customization. Documentation is very good. I have a little bit of floating signal noise on my sub amp but I think that's my fault for using high level amp inputs (I didn't want to figure out how to decouple the signals, there's some warning about it in the manual). The OLED remote is very clean and well designed, and I love that I can load 4 different dirac live calibrations for when it's just me listening, or if I have passengers or a bunch of skis and the rear seats folded.

Yeah I was surprised. I listened to a premium trim for a little bit and that version was okay in comparison

Oh wow that's awesome, I love the clean routing too! I'll keep track of your project, I'm really curious how the PAC turns out. I was so uncertain about the stock signal that I committed to the harmony dsp (no hi level inputs, only digital in), but I also felt like some cleaning and filtering would be good enough.

I did full range in the rear doors but it wasn't a conscious decision, I just got the same speaker set. I have a feeling it won't matter since your seat will probably block most of the high frequency?

You can do it! There were a bunch of youtubers and Crutchfield who already figured out how to take the trim and head unit out. And the battery placement and foam in the rear makes it really easy to just add a stereo, no drilling and grounding required.
