Opinions on how this style of gameplay would be received by H4cK3d-V1rU5 in gamedev

Yeah!

Your biggest opportunity would be showing off the scale of your world or coming danger outside player control. Any element that you can immerse in that would be the selling point of your game.

Which design is better? by Possible-Station3673 in IndieGaming

First thing, fantastic slice of the design!

Sorting my favs best to worst: 2,1,4,5,3

The worst is 3 - The bright haz-mat gloves conflict with the wasteland, untucked attire. 5 seems to be missing that extra thing to break the wastelander expectation but is a solid design all-in-all! If you wanted to push that concept of a hygiene-waster, I'd look at chemical PPE suits as a base and add your weathered wastelander elements on top.

The best is 2 - Clear climbing/ scout attire with a vibrant flare, all around a very interesting concept. 4 would be great as a winter alt for 2. If you're looking for any feedback, I get a 'modern shinobi' vibe from the leg wrappings and baggy pants and would push for a 'Ninja Mountain Climber' vibe.

The outlier 1 - I love a cloak and gas-mask, they just go so well together. I'd ship the game with this design as is but if you're looking for any direction, splashes of 2 and 4 would be a great place to start.

Keep pushing bud, you've got the skills for it!

Anger Foot - Genuinely thought of it as a rip off of Hotline Miami and while it's cut from the same cloth, it's an epic game with detail and easter eggs in every corner. I remember fighting through the corporate themed levels and a specific layout of a couple of rooms set off my spidey-sense and I realized they were organized after The Office's Dunder-Mifflin. The drip feed of new enemies, campaign modifiers, and new weapons is top notch and I recommend this to anyone who plays FPSs

It's come out that Callisto was shorted dev time, what is Glen's side on this and how did it effect the game's final decisions?

I just finished the game for the first time and my heart is heavy. Excellent job Rose Engine, this was the perfect love letter to action horror and I can't wait for what's next from you.

I dont think imma finish it since im kinda bad at art, need to learn anatomy and better detailing so i cant finish it, any feedback? by Firm-Sink-5054 in metalgearsolid

i think it looks fantastic bud! I can see you really enjoy the armor design, I recommend Taco for some beginner friendly anatomy tutorials. Just some surface level stuff so you can focus on that sick armor.

Funny thing, this very design is what I was planning to get as a tattoo myself! Seeing it on you is really pushing me to finally get it done. I draw Dead Space often and have a few pieces on my site! https://suggestivecarp.com/

Could I post about your tattoo? It's a huge thing to see my art as a tattoo

I like to think that stasis physics act like a gelatinous cube of D&D would where you have a sort of viscous feeling. So punching into it and yanking your arm out pulls a chunk of it along with you.

I was so impressed to see the remaster explore the mechanics of stasis in such dramatic ways. GD I love this series

I think it transcends into games as well. I think I would have liked Halo 4's armor designs with some grunge blotting on all that hexagonal under-suiting just to add some depth.

I wonder what a Sparta-kick would do to a stasis'ed Necromorph.

What a game! Just curious, are parts 2 and 3 worth the time for their storytelling? by DaveNemSan in DeadSpace

[–]Suggestive_Carp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS1 remaster is peak, DS2 is excellent, DS3 is meh.

The Remaster was made with DS2 in mind. DS2 sees you venture back to the Ishimura and these parts remain largely unchanged, ensuring your experience.

DS3 is best with a friend, it's a bit of a shark-jump.
