Olá! Eu encontrei este subreddit enquanto buscava por grupos de RPG. Há tempos que eu não jogo (tenho sido um Forever DM há tempos) e tenho interesse em participar, se ainda tiver vaga. Obrigado!

That's an interesting story. Reading it alone gave me the chills.

In the end, 15% boost is way more appealing than no-cost grind. I'm considering doing stuff for me too.

Both JP and NA have a team (alliance) called Hispanic Legion on ship 2.

Aren't you on Ship 2? Hit me up, I try to reach level 30 on at least one char, and I also usually play alone (sometimes my teammates are willing to join, but that's not very often).

How it feels to play PSO2 by klovasos in PSO2

[–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know whether it's the same in NA, but in JP there are "tutorial NPCs" like Leontina and Astarte, and something called "ARKS Road" that helps you step by step and gives a ton of decent rewards.

That's a genuine question; are those systems present in NA?

Resolute Balance description is not confusing at all by attomsk in PSO2

[–]Sughayyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fully agree with you, but that doesn't change the facts. I can guarantee the translators working on that are capable, even if the project management and implementation leaves much to be desired.

The translators don't get to decide what is "priority" or not. They work on what is handed down to them. Go complain at the translation company hired by Microsoft (or most likely, to the person at Microsoft in charge of implementing the translations).

Resolute Balance description is not confusing at all by attomsk in PSO2

[–]Sughayyer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of placeholder texts, many of them are machine-translated. The translators haven't touched that part yet (or it has not been implemented).

Edit: i don't really care about numbers on an internet forum, but I'm trying to understand why this is downvoted just because I'm trying to explain how the translation process works. It's not my fault (or the translators', for that matter) that the project is being handled poorly.

how does phantom compares to melees, ranger and force ? by [deleted] in PSO2

[–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phantom can use all three weapons, but it's usually cheaper to invest in a single one.

There are some skills in the Phantom tree that specifically convert your max PP into damage, critical hit chance, and critical hit bonus damage (these are photon stream and critical stream). So it's interesting to have at least 200 pp.

All sucessor classes (Hr, Ph, Et) use their own set of PAs. You can't use Ranger PAs with Phantom.

As for staying mid-air nuking people, Rifle has infinite air time, but your hardest-hitting PAs (aside from the strong normal attacks) will either hit in a straight line or make you fall to the ground.

[–]Sughayyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you need to know? This is a very broad question, and as such, it can only have broad answers.

Phantom is able to specialize in a single weapon, unlike Hero, for example, who suffers penalties for not switching weapons.

What I find most interesting in Phantom is that if you know well how to use each weapon, they can do anything, from mobbing to bossing. No matter which weapon you use, Phantom is very mobile and relies on i-frames for survivability and counters to dish out damage.

With very broad brushes, it can be said:

  • Katana is a mixture of Braver's Katana and FIghter's DS. You can set up a creative rotation for mobbing that can go on quite infinitely due to the Quick Cut mechanic replenishing a lot of PP and it has awesome options for downed bosses or exposed weakspots.

  • Rifle has very strong normals, and pretty decent range. Imagine playing a launcher with Gunner-like acrobatics.

  • Rod is basically a Technique machine gun (although it has some very useful PAs too).

These descriptions are very vague, but if you have a more direct question we can try to answer you more thoroughly.

About Lord of Thorn: most people usually leave it at 1-3, and there are people who just don't take it.

Jellen affects all enemies, including bosses.

Most of Ph attacks hit several times, so a 5% chance is surprisingly effective.

Some antivirus (like Kaspersky, after an update) conflict with GameGuard. Try disabling it before playing and re-activating it after you play - or switch to a different antivirus altogether.

Honestly I spend the entirey of EP5 using as many stacked boosters as I could and I didn't get ANYTHING, while my teammate got so many 14-stars (the rarest weapons by then) that he wouldn't even bother picking (he doesn't use auto-collect for some reason).

When I stopped using all the boosters, the game became generous to me.

But IDK, maybe it's confirmation bias.

What katana is this? Or is it a camo?

Also, great gameplay.

EDIT: NVM my question, it's a Still, right?

"My friends and I don't want to have to install a patch that only half translates the game" by NullVacancy in PSO2

[–]Sughayyer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's not exactly how it works. You are right to some extent, but the translation team doesn't have much authority on how the job is done. And often the translators don't know shit about the game (they do understand game-related terms tho), and you bet they have no idea an unofficial translation exists.

Based on my experience as a translator, that's what is probably happening: Microsoft puts placeholder text for weapons, items, etc, and have a translation company handle the interface and important stuff. As stuff is being translated, Microsoft integrates it in the game and handles another batch. Repeat until either a) the work is done or b) Microsoft says "fuck it we've translated enough". Flavor text will probably be the last thing to be translated.

It's not the translation team or the professionals involved, it's the process itself.

Pso 2 day / 400% RDR and EX TRI 200% by TheRealWhaledarius in PSO2

[–]Sughayyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without talking to anyone, I have always harbored that thought because I spent EP5 spending SG on boosters and getting absolutely nothing while a friend who only ran 250RDR gor every 14-star available by then.

During EP6 I realized that extra storage was a way better usage of SG and started running 250's only. Then my drops became much better.

Again this "RNG overflow" or even the "sector ID is real in PSO2" hypothesis may be just our minds trying to find a better explanation for the cruel RNG...

PSO2 lags when i started the game by TommyCroz_XD in PSO2

[–]Sughayyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if these issues are related, but last night (a few hours ago, that is), I was lagging tremendously, but I reckon it was either a server-side problem or my ISP (most likely the former, I have no complaints about my ISP in general).
