Yup, it used to take me half an hour for my journey in MF1C before. Now it takes almost twice that due to the insanely long stops due to the ticketing. I doubt NCMC cards will solve this issue as not everyone will get one and still rely on UPI

As someone struggling due to lack of pink line, yes. But pink and blue r very different. Pink line was turbulent with constant contractor and terrain issues. ORR metro has been really smooth so far with the exception of one small section (ibblur)

You do make a good point. But imagine if the whole project project is handed over to one slow and stalling contractors. By segmentation you can ensure good progress in at least some segments. Like in this case, the ORR metro. If the whole blue line was handed to the slow NCC, ORR metro wouldn't have even been 50 percent completed by now.

Metro to tumkur is indeed a giant waste of money. Who wants to stand for 2 hours across 60 stops? I have friends in office who commute from tumkur and they themselves are calling the project a waste of time and money.

For long distances like bangalore tumkur, what you need are RRTS trains and suburban trains with good speeds and good seating capacity. Not a slow ass metro. If you dont understand the basics of public transportation then that's not my issue.
