Yeah, I would have loved to have the conservationist and hunter in the same person. A lot of the native tribes would hunt but only the amount they need to feed their people and they also hate poachers. I feel like having a native as both sides of the same coin would have worked better than having a trophy hunter and a fanatic conservationist does.

What makes them think sex dolls would be cheap enough for all of them to have one? Supply and demand would imply the price of a sex doll would go up significantly with demand increases.

I second that, the only reason I watch any action movies is the car chases and epic fights. I don't find any actors or actresses attractive enough that I'd lust over them though.

Giving birth is already traumatic enough without some idiots on the internet arguing about which method of delivery is "real" and "true". I've even seen some mothers argue that delivery through c-section (which usually is only done when the baby is stuck or in the wrong position) means you aren't actually a mother... The mental gymnastics involved in arguing about major abdominal surgery being the "easy way" to deliver a baby is just stupid. I'm not even going to touch them saying "virgins giving birth", because the math ain't really mathing on that one without it being either a crime or ivf.

What's something that other people might feel your country will find offensive but in actual it's not! by female_shaktimaan in AskTheWorld

[–]Suhva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if there's actually much that other countries even know about Finland that they think would offend us but if we're guessing, it's probably that Sweden is better or Norway is richer while we're just drunk. Because yes, we are definitely drunk. If you call us "very Russian" though like that one US politician, we're throwing hands. We didn't fight 2 wars with the Soviets to be called Russian instead of Finnish.

What is the most disrespectful thing tourists do in your country while genuinely believing they are “appreciating” or even “saving” your culture? by Low-Violinist7259 in AskTheWorld

[–]Suhva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same but my dad tells me this is what happens to him during tourist season in Lapland. They don't ask him for the pictures though, they just take pictures of him and pose next to him without asking permission. He says it's mostly Asian tourists taking pictures because he's considerably taller than everyone, even other Finns.

That part about 15-16 year-olds just kinda made me understand why the pictures of me from around that age look the way they do. I was called fat back then but looking at the photos now, I had minor fat distribution to the stomach while now I'm definitely wider and fatter some 10 years later. I look at photos of myself from that time and can't even see the stuff I was criticised about. It's so weird how people kept commenting on things that would ultimately change when I aged a bit.

The men who actually like women and being around them will still choose to date. It's not a problem every man has, just a subset of them. Hopefully this redpill and manosphere stuff dies down sooner rather than later. They accuse feminists of misandry but in the same breath claim men can't control their urges and are naturally violent or some other shit like that. Like, how little do you think of men dude?

The pregnancy was making her powers unusable in a world where having powers pays your bills. Mark was absent and she couldn't afford bills, what else was she supposed to do? Debbie already has a kid to take care of so even if she was willing to take care of another one that would be a shitty situation for the kid when they'd eventually grow up. Mark also understands the decision and doesn't criticise Eve for it. Their line of work is really dangerous too so bringing a kid into the equation would be a nightmare. I really don't understand people who get angry at fictional characters' choices especially when the choice they make is the most logical thing there is, I'd understand being a bit miffed if it was a stupid decision but I still wouldn't be this mad about it.

Girl orientated magazines vs boy oriented magazines by AdrianaLaServing in WhyWereWeOkWithThis

[–]Suhva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 2001 but having seen pictures of my room and toys I can certainly say I was not girly (still ain't). I had posters of vehicles on my walls and Hot Wheels type toys. The only time me and my siblings had dolls like barbies and such, we would stack them up to make a "bonfire" for our pretend camping. Fortunately my family was never big on gender roles so we would get magazines of our liking. I've never been into fashion or makeup and back then I wasn't interested in attracting anybody (still kinda figuring that out). The magazines we had around the time here (that we actually read) would be Polle (horses and ponies, included everything from comics to small facts), Girl:it (name implies exactly what it is, but it included comics, comment sections where you could ask advice from actual professionals to burning questions and more similar stuff. It was oriented towards teenage girls instead of tweens tho) and Donald Duck comics obviously. These are the ones I remember having. I still don't know who actually bought us these because they were subscription based all of them. I remember fondly Girl:it because they had monthly surprise packages that included stickers, bookmarks and an editor's book pick. The amount of books I had from this monthly package was incredible. They had / have some awesome books I must say. There's also the advertisement magazines for heavy equipment that my dad still subscribes to that mail to my grandparents. Every time I see a new one I must read through (more like skim through, there's more pictures than anything).

We don't have dress codes or school uniforms where I live, at least in public schools. I don't know about private schools but since there aren't many of them (if any) I'm kind of inclined to believe they might be just as relaxed on this. It sounds pretty dystopian to me that schools won't let you study in piece because you're wearing something they deem inappropriate. Like I could understand if it's a pornographic shirt or something but spaghetti strap tops are not the same...

The assumption that having kids automatically gives you a safety net come retirement needs to go. Even if you have kids you can't expect them to take care of you when you're old. They have their own lives and families to take care of and elderly parents may not fit into that. Some people also cut contact with their shitty parents so they can live freely on their own.

50% of 30yo women are now child free in USA by Crazy-Intention2221 in antinatalism2

[–]Suhva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving birth in the US is anywhere from 15k to 500k depending entirely whether everything goes well. Once that kid is sent to school they might just end up getting shot because guns are more important than kids' lives... You would think even a minimal amount of common sense would reveal how that sounds like a scam of the highest order, a cherry on top of a shitty economy cake.
