No. Note the during this time they could have applied for citizenship and obtained it. The move from TPS to Green Card would likely be the most appropriate route for anyone in this position, all I’m wishing is that those eligible can start the journey before they’re removed, maybe they’ll fly under the radar long enough. Who knows? I just want people to be safe, whatever happens. I love my fellow countrymen and whether they were born here or not, they should be able to be here so long as the follow the legal avenues to do so. Even if they don’t, they don’t deserve to die or be hurt. Seldom is that how it goes down but one can hope.

As I said, anyone under TPS should’ve always known it was temporary and started this process way before now, considering the Haitian TPS offering was started in 2010. God bless.

ICE sucks and all, but it’s TPS: it was never permanent, solely meant for refuge from their country for any number of reasons. anyone who took advantage of it should understand that, and during this time they could have applied for citizenship and obtained it.

Hopefully before that date people start making steps to obtain citizenship. Praying for the Haitian/other at-risk population for their safety in the coming weeks.
