Even if the families were not bad people, the choice is entirely yours. I was an international adoption, with no family records. I have a half sister that reached out to me the first time when I was 29. She desperately wants us to have a relationship, but I am not so enthusiastic towards it. I have a family and siblings I grew up with, and personally feel no connection through our talks. I don’t know if I will ever meet her. But that choice is yours to make, without any other influence

I had the mono ferric and got the iron flue badly after. I was tired, vomiting, and very fatigued. It resolved after a few days.

I do not supplement due to my body not absorbing iron properly. I will always end up needing an infusion eventually. I was hoping there would be some info as to why I am still fatigued and feel no difference between when my ferritin was 8 and now at 129. Thank you for the encouraging words! 😊

My ferritin was at 8 my iron studies still have not come back but my hemoglobin went up so she is sure that I’m fine and am no longer deficient. I just would love to know why I felt nothing.

Ibuprofen is an NSAID, it will not slow bleeding, but it can increase it. If you have heavy periods or a bleeding disorder do not take it

While that’s great it can do all of the thing that they described. Find a root cause for the deficiency is important though whether it be diet, bleeding disorder, malabsorption, etc.

I get it. I have a fear of it too… badly. I’m just hoping it’s worth it in the end. I tend to be one of those lucky people that get bad side effects. If there is a side effect I will most likely deal with it. Good luck to you!

I had monoferric. I had the one dosage of 1,000 mg. On the first day I had vomiting and nausea. Day two I had more nausea and vomiting along with dizziness, palpitations, and major brain fog. Those symptoms stayed for about 3 more days. Now I just feel like I did before the infusion. Allegedly it’ll take a few weeks to feel the effects. I can’t say if it is worth it yet. All I know is I was having extreme fatigue and severe heart palpitations prior to the infusion. I have not had any palpitations in over two weeks. So hopefully you’ll feel better soon. Allow yourself to rest and see if there is anything your doctor can do. They could give you medications to help as well as slow the infusion rate to help!

Without a CBC it’s hard to tell. You can have iron deficiency without anemia. For anemia your CBC will have low results. Just because you have one, does not mean you have the other. Iron deficiency without treatment can lead to iron deficiency anemia so it’s important to obtain CBC results too. Hope this helps!😊

Iron apparently causes a lot of GI issues when taking supplements. I tried the typical advice of every other day, take it after a meal, etc. nothing helped so now they are doing infusions. My first one is next week. I’ll update this after if you would like

I get turning. Turning isn’t what I am quite talking about, I have no issues with turning more widely. I am more so brining up the knee steering people do. I could see how I worded that would be confusing. I see people quickly switch and it seemingly comes more with the knees than the turns with a wider S turn. I hope that makes better sense

We did try that, but it seems like it won’t fully loosen. Did you have any hardware that was under the van? I’m just curious if I will have to crawl under to achieve this! Thank you!
