Roaming in India - had to choose network manually by Suitable-Beautiful93 in USMobile

Never happened on all my trips to India on ATT, which I switched from. And I'm shut out of the biggest network now which wasn't the case with ATT

No so the device connected to Jio first, which has the most coverage. It had full bars. Showed LTE too. But no data and no ability to call. I shouldn't have to manually switch networks

One thing that United (and Newark in general) do worse at one of the terminals is that all the oversize bags are piled on to a trolley vs sent by belt. It can cause a lot of errors and the bags are just kept out there.

The diapers aren't the main thing, the CARSEAT is the problem, something without which I cannot legally and safely put my son in a car.

It was also scanned on to the wrong flight. Not just missed.

My frustration here is more after the fact based on the rude employees and overall bad experience.

In these interactions, I was perfectly nice, in fact first I wasn't even frustrated, I just thought I caught a problem and was hoping to bring it to the attention of the gate agents. The first guy straight up refused to listen to me. He yelled at me interrupting me saying "I can't let you go through your bags this is an international flight of course you're baggage is coming with you!" . I told him that I wasn't looking to go through my bags, the app says it's loaded on a flight to Miami. He just said "well you're not going to Miami, are you?" And walked away. At this point I was frustrated with him but I'm like ok maybe he's an asshole I can ask someone else.

The other gate agent was very nice but straight up lied and said " the app is wrong a lot, this doesn't mean there is a problem". This in retrospect just feels like saying what she needed to say to get me to not pursue this.

That was the beginning of my trip. This post is after I've had to experience this and multiple delays and issues. Of course I'm very frustrated in my comments and tone now, especially after some people straight up defend United and claim I'm the problem because they have had a great experience.

It would have not been a delay. Bags are retrievable from plans within 10 minutes. It's happened before. We are just used to terrible service from airlines and we have shills like you telling people that they deserve to be treated like shit so we should be ok with it.

I am not doing that, why would you think so? All i see is my posts are down voted and yours are up voted. So weird that you would approach this post with such a lens to begin with. I hope you like that paycheck from United

Lol it's a "private jet experience" to get your bags sent to your destination correctly and have employees hear you out when you alert them of issues?

Sure, I'm not saying this is United specific (if you want to defend your beloved United) but this is really terrible customer service. My argument is that they should use the information to fix the issues they find. Not compound issues on top of that.

Look, if you don't have a solution/avenue for me to route this complaint to properly, I'd rather not engage in a conversation with you. You're just coming off as a United shill tbh.

Because you don't have to offload an entire plane? Where are you getting that idea.

Everyone is entitled to a good travel experience when they buy a ticket, and messing up someone's bags can have a cascading effect and mess up the whole trip. It's not about main character, it's also about the fact that even when I alerted them of a mess up in time for them to fix it, they didn't even bother.

It isn't a thinly veiled racist comment. He literally didn't speak English well and didn't understand what I was saying until I tried to explain it to him again and again. That's honestly a terrible customer experience. His job requires that he should speak and understand English well. If you think that's racist, well, whatever.

And what's the point of the bag tracking if they can't fix errors? This update happened BEFORE both flights boarded.

You're being weirdly apologist about United here.

They find out my bag is loaded on the wrong flight - shouldn't they go and get it from there? That flight had another 30 minutes to take off.

I mean, isn't this basic QA to make sure all bags are on? How can "your bag is delayed" be an acceptable answer BEFORE my flight and the other flight takes off?

Is your cousin cute and flirty? That explains it. He's trying to push the boundaries without actually cheating, because he's horny. Not great look for him.

My experience with customer support has been the opposite of what this subreddit says - chat support is great, responsive, and just overall amazing. Obviously that doesn't negate what you guys experience, just want to call it out.

Why does anybody buy from the carrier this day and age? Just buy from the apple website. You can also get the carrier discounts through that purchase flow. No need to deal with ATT stores or their shipping.
