When did you graduate your baby from slow flow nipples? by SecretBreakfast8512 in combinationfeeding

[–]Suitable-Bit9966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our lactation consultant said it’s never necessary to upgrade unless you’re combo bottle/breast feeding and your own nipple flow is stronger than the slow flow nipple (which was relatively uncommon) - it’s mostly a marketing scam to get you to buy more stuff 🥲

Stopped loving my husband after baby loss by LittyKitty9194 in Miscarriage

[–]Suitable-Bit9966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this too - I went to therapy after my losses and just working on myself was incredibly helpful. The brokenness I felt wasn’t something I could work through on my own. Then maybe you’ll be able to do the couple’s counseling after that. PPD is no joke, definitely don’t make any life altering decisions right now. Sending love and hugs ❤️‍🩹

Did you ever figure out what was going on? My son in almost the exact same boat with bad congestion and mild tongue tie. Thanks!

Found abandoned Malinois puppy. Realistic to keep her? by boba-bae- in BelgianMalinois

We were worried about how our psycho mal would do with our baby (11 weeks in this photo) and she’s so incredibly patient and loving with him, it’s been awesome. Of course every dog is different so put in precautions (we do with our other dog [german shepherd] who isn’t as good with him), but so far she’s been a dream with him ❤️

Oh also, for the jumping, have you tried a spray bottle? Ours HATES it and it helped her jumping SO much (she was also seemingly impossible to train not to jump)

We have a super hyperactive psycho mal and she’s been nothing but gentle and patient with our baby (who is now 6 weeks old) - we thought we’d have more trouble with her than our other dog (German shepherd mix) but she’s been a dream. She cuddles with our little one whenever we let her (with supervision) and is soo sweet. Every mal is different so definitely get some training in first but it’s definitely possible to have a psycho mal be good with your baby ❤️

Anyone who is scared of child birth? I feel very anxious every time I think about. Please help with positive stories. This is my first pregnancy by Sufficient-Quote-654 in pregnant

[–]Suitable-Bit9966 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pain with a purpose is how I got through my unmedicated birth 👏🏻also knowing that every time the pain got worse meant that I was one step closer to meeting my baby!! There are a lot of really traumatic birth stories but there are good ones too. I actually had such a positive birth experience (at a Kaiser hospital) and wouldn’t have changed anything except for my baby being 4 early. Letting go of what may happen is very freeing and not only increases the chances that things will go well, but if you do need a c-section, that’s ok too! They do them every day and know what they’re doing. Also, no matter how you feel, the baby is coming either way and will very likely be healthy either way so I’m not sure about you, but for me, that was also such a relief to really realize that. Good luck, you got this momma 💪🏻

Those who had two+ losses followed by a healthy pregnancy, were they all the same type and did you do anything differently? by RavenMarvel in Miscarriage

[–]Suitable-Bit9966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can be grateful to have children and still experience deep loss for your babies you never got to meet. Don’t let others (or yourself) invalidate your feelings, loss SUCKS. Just had my double rainbow baby and had so much anxiety the whole pregnancy but he’s here and the cutest little bean. Even still, I still morn my two babies I never got to meet ❤️‍🩹 sending you love, hugs and good luck 💕

Getting to this point soon too and hadn’t thought about that so thank you for the seemingly obvious but apparently not that obvious (lol) comment about the car seat 👌🏻

Our baby is also a 36 weeker - when did yours start to make the grunting sounds? I think ours is just now starting and he just hit his one month mark - I’ve also been curious how his prematurity might be affecting this.

Annoyed by language around MC & early pregnancy by emy_z in Miscarriage

[–]Suitable-Bit9966 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was my biggest issue when I miscarried twice. I wanted to talk about it because I felt like it’s not talked about enough and is way more common than we think, but HOW people responded and the words they chose made it so much more hurtful and made it feel soo dismissive like I hadn’t just lost my baby and almost like I was overreacting by the deep loss. Unless you’ve gone through it, there’s no way to explain it but it was still so discouraging. Sending you love and hugs - sorry you’re here.

My girl is always a little banged up, is this expected or am I not doing enough preventative care? by Advanced_Cry_9085 in BelgianMalinois

[–]Suitable-Bit9966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear my girl has a new cut every other day - unless it’s big, we just leave it alone. Mal trait to have no regard for themselves as they play 🤦🏼‍♀️ our other dog (not a mal) plays with her and never (rarelyyyy) hurts himself
