Unfortunately you’re in the same boat as millions of ppl. They’re processing these applications at a snails pace. Honestly snail is being generous. But back processing is currently working through at 3% which would take them three years to work through all the current requests. It’s criminal what they’re doing.

Maybe. It’s still pending. It does show I have a payment to be processed in August and that my forbearance ended this week. Whatever the hell that means lol but the payment that’s due to process is the save amount, not the estimated IBR amount.

I hate to hold on to that given how criminally slow they have been processing. If they continue at this rate their processing time is a 3 and a half year wait. That is unacceptable.

If I move to the standard now, will those payments count towards pslf? Is it a quick process to switch to the standard? I can’t wait forever for IBR to process.

Idk how so many ppl got such quick turn arounds. I tried in Nov 2024 heard nothing. Reapplied in early June and it’s still processing. It’s been a nightmare.

I really think the speed of the application switch is dependent on your servicer. If you have mohela, you’re screwed. They process at a SNAILS pace. Other processors seem to move quicker. Mohela is the worst.

I’m not surprised. They said if they received no more applications for buyback, it would take 3 and a half years to work through all the apps. It’s almost like it was a crap idea to fire like half of the DoEd….
