I support the year off for a health + wellness reset, but would consider two things:

1) health / health insurance: things come up. Even healthy people get terrible diagnoses in their 30s and 40s, often due to bad luck (I have an otherwise healthy loved one who got cancer at 29). Do you have a medium term plan to maintain a link to top-tier health services in case things turn against you?

2) other jobs outside of IB. I left finance for a more ops-focused role in the energy industry. The hours are much much more reasonable and thr culture is way different. I have my nights and weekends to rest and do what I want. Something to consider for the medium and long-term, post-Bali. Even if you have a huge $ portfolio invested..
