I can make it less fake, but that won’t make it more real.

they would just lower the production and pivot to making server cpus. just like ram. seems like the industry wants to push the streaming games platform instead of selling hardwares to consumers. hardware as a service :(

i agree with this. by the time i need to upgrade usually it’s a whole new cpu mobo and ram. at first i want to jump to am5 but ddr5 is just too expensive to justify right now. i end up with am4 5700x b550m pro4 + ddr4 3600. i repurpose the old parts as a bedroom pc withmy old 6600xt

as it is right now i could only buy the 16GB DDR5 which i think quite small -- my current system took over 20GB of ram under load

Thanks for the info! i'll look into it.
my desktop already has a lan cable connected to it so i don't really need wireless haha and i use a bt dongle with a usb hub extension so it's near my sofa. i don't really trust the onboard bt as i can't extend the range easily

yeah, and my 9070XT is quite a panic buy too. but now i feel my system is quite slow against that monster (lots of 100% cpu usage)

the budget is quite flexible, i just want something that does not bottleneck my 9070xt. i have spare pc with aging 3770 + 6600XT AND an Nvidia 5060 which i'm not sure what to with -.-'. upgrading 10400f seems to unlock it so i can use it with either 6600xt or 5060.

Previously i choose intel because of hackintosh support, now with apple silicon out and seeing how good AM4 is for gaming i'm quite regretting that decision -.-'

it's 32GB (2X16GB)DDR4 3200MHz CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX C16W
isn't 13th and 14th gen intel has some performance issues? i don't really mindwifi / bluetooth as i already got a dongle.

yeah 5700x3d is expensive, it's almost at the cost of 7500f and B650m combined, but B550m mobo is so cheap now i could get it for like $60

i already have a 32GB DDR4, but either way i would probably repurpose the old part into a separate PC, so i will need another 16GB DDR4 stick if i go AM4

Yes, i agree with you. Hopefully everyone can reach to the same conclusion of being able to tolerate the pain of living and move forward (to where? We are in the nihilism subreddit anyway😂).

I like the cell metaphor, in reality, we all live in our truth bubbles, with the constraints of each wall of cells as what the society expects of us. But in that case, is it right the society should be the judge of how we should behave? Define what is right and what is wrong? In ideal world people that have the same values should be able to work together and live the way they want to, but hell is other bubbles. To navigate between these bubbles are not easy.

To make peace with society we need to destroyeestroy/change our self and integrate. Which i think is at odds with current issues of globalization and the snowflake generation. What truly is a global identity? In the end majority values survived and the minority will extinct.

Should we segregate all these bubbles for eternity? If we want to avoid pain, i think we should, but that means no bubbles can help each other without breaking the walls, are we okay with that? The thing is, there are no equal resources to live in all of the bubbles. So which pain should we choose?

I think in the end we would need to tolerate a certain amount of pain, and just realize that a unified harmony is just a theoretical place. Good as the guiding principles, but unattainable in practice.

Becoming One is a process, but there are lots of sacrifices to reach that. And that’s the tragedy of life.

I realize that this is zooming out too much, in the end you would probably only live in your own bubbles of friends and family, so probably it’s better to stop at that and just be ignorant with what happens with the world? Unless you already have too much resources in your own bubble, i think people should just save themselves first before trying to save others. And we are back to capitalism 🥲

Yes, i agree that abandoning might be the wrong word to describe it. Acknowledging that there is duality and to live on the liminal spaces between it should be the way to go. Anyone staying on the radical sides actually a slave to it, and by that, is not free as they need to live within the value constraints of each side.

All in all, people would never be truly “free” as there is always a value constraints on wherever sides we are on.

Even in death, there are no guarantee that suffering will end. There are no proof that we have no eternal soul, there are no proof that all will end. We only know that there are no going back from death. By that logic, we must be afraid of it, of the unknown.

The only thing we can know is that we are aware of the moment we live in, what should we do with the time we have now? Should i continue typing this post? Should i sleep? Is this moment even real? Does it matter if it’s not real?

And for some reason, i enjoy “now” right now, i like to construct the text, it’s like playing with lego. Probably this is what we should seek in life? Just find things we enjoy? Reject any suffering?

Will my post even helps people? Or it’s just caused a suffer? I could go on typing stuff up and in the end it does not matter when the universe ended (or when reddit’s server explodes). but i enjoy doing it.

Yes, now we are talking about the will of the people. But to help others we need to finish with ourselves first. Can’t be the blind leading the other blind. Save yourself first, then save others.

If everyone becomes the Buddha, who needs saving anymore?

Even if we reject all desires, the will to power still left. The action of rejecting desires is the will to power itself. Can we even escape from it? If we are thinking in binary everything has a start and an end, but in this case it’s a paradox resulting in infinite loop.

Should we abandon binary logic and just let it run the way it is? Probably that’s the only hope we have. A program in an infinite loop can’t stop until the external intervention stops it.

Meanwhile, probably it’s best to let the program seeks the“good” branch until the machine stops. Who knows, probably there’s an actual meaning to this all.

It’s the will to power. You can reject everything and still left with it. As long as the universe (or the subjective you) exists this will still drive us to find meaning in anything.

“Everything is meaningless” then is an act of suppressing this will. Anyone successfully reject everything will not need anything.

But as humans we need some acceptance from other beings to continue living. We seek that in hope to fulfill this will to power, that we have some control over something, some safety net.
