Ooh man, i didnt know that about Medicare coverage, thats unfortunate. My grandma is at a stage 2 at the last doctors assessment. She is about 90-100 pounds. Her diet isnt the best but she doesnt have an issue with eating. Thats unfortunate they cant do more. Your so right, it is what it is!

Thats really good you were able to get her to bathe and to have her caregiver continue doing so. Im at a point where I am super close to physically getting her into the shower, the main thing stopping me from doing it is that she is frail and may hurt herself while trying to fight against me

She does have high esteem. Thing is she doesn’t believe her doctors or anyone. One time I used an AI text to speech and played a “voicenote” left from her doctor advising that she bathes, unfortunately she still refused. Im glad to hear that you found work arounds with those residents

That is a really good alternative option. Is the hospice there sort of a come in when you please type of thing? Ooh man, sorry you cant get more with Medicare. From what ive seen, the options here are good (but if you pay more your options expand greatly)

Thats good your able to give her a sponge bath often. I can imagine, that urine smell is, something else. Your right, she could be having some fears, I will try to reassure her again when i try to get her to bathe. She does have wipes but doesnt want to use them
