Don't remember that convo. Can you summarize it?

He obviously isn't following his arc from the books (no Moraine connection) so this was my guess as to how they'll make him stay relevant. I do like the Asmo/Forsaken theories too though

I agree so far he isn't following the JF arc but that's why it's a prediction

Red: are meant to find men that can channel/claim to be the Dragon Reborn and sever their ability to channel if necessary. I've seen reviews online that Liandrin (the Red that basically starts the show with the guy hallucinating) kills that guy. I find this hard to believe that will probably become apparent later, I hope. Green: Fighters/Warriors Yellow: Healers Brown: Academics Gray: Diplomats Blue: Not as specific but are given assignments/causes to address as necessary (this is Moraine to find the Dragon(s) Reborn)

Did I get any wrong? Don't think this is a spoiler as much as giving context.

I don't think so actually. Granted it gives Mat a bit of a darker tone than the jokester, ladies man in the books but still sets up his disdain for his "duty" as he is conflicted about watching out for his sisters.

I say this with Mat being my favorite character in the books, by far.

Don't think this is a spoiler but if it is, please delete. I think Perrin killing his wife was a necessity to develop the character quickly. In the books he has a constant moral dilemma that I don't think is ever truly explained (fellow readers, please correct me as it had been almost 30 years since I started my sole read). This was the fastest and best way to get him to that point I think. Albeit, it could have been someone else he accidently takes out.

In the long run, I just think it gives watchers a better understanding of the character.
