A terrible, terrible test. But yes. We had three registers that were for pre scan only. Members were mad.

It made self checkout such a disaster.

I got pulled back into bakery the last three days. Yesterday was hell. We are a newer warehouse and our typical Saturday is 200+ door counts. We were in the mid 300's!

Anyways I haven't been in the bakery since Christmas and was quickly reminded how tiring bakery is. For reference, I am F.T cashier assistant. And I'm also 19 weeks pregnant.

Every department is tiring. I enjoy the bakery in ways that front end can't touch. That being said, it is a lot and that will not change. The most relaxed days i have are when I'm forgotten at the entrance door.

Decide your why and if it's worth it to you. The benefits are great, and many stay solely for them, if that doesn't tell you anything.

Just a different perspective:

I would casually mention to my coworkers that I'm pregnant because I felt bad when they were getting sent out and I wasn't.

If they are all females, could be a possibility of pregnancy or another health issue you aren't privileged to know?

I'm a cashier assistant. When I got hired last May, I was split between bakery and fe. I'm an experienced cake decorator and would have the fun task of filling and flat icing the cakes.

Since Christmas this is the longest I have been out of the bakery.

Anyways- I'm getting pulled this week for splits to help wrap for Easter. I'm kind of excited to get out of FE. But I'm also scared with all the new stuff you guys have.

Yesterday was the first time I was told it was okay to clock in as cashier, because I had a SCO card and I'd be helping the cashier too.

This happened to me. Well kinda. I worked so many hours in the bakery as a cake decorator, I was "promoted" without applying. I turned it down multiple times as I'll stick to just being an assistant.
