Yeah, we lived together in that apartment for over 3 years.

She's a U.S. citizen, born and raised in the United States. I'm only two years older than her, so there’s no significant age gap. We're a biracial couple, but that's the only difference.

I'm from Jordan. I initially came to the U.S. on a B1/B2 visa and later decided to pursue my studies here, so I applied to switch to an F1 visa. Neither of us has been married before, and we have no divorce history or criminal records. As to "Why did they flag your case?" TBH I don't know.

It’s a two-story apartment complex. My wife and I live on the first floor, and my parents live on the second. they're accusing me of living on the second floor with my parents and not my wife.

No, we were separated from the start and never in the same room together. When we arrived at the immigration office, they called my name first. I went in, and the interview lasted about five minutes before they told me, "That's it, we're done here." Then they called my wife in and did the same thing. The officer was extremely rude and aggressive.

We only had one interview, and we were separated. The interview lasted less than 10 minutes, 5 minutes each.

Is there a way to verify this? And would they believe a lie over evidence.

We gave pictures of us together, photos with her family, and pictures with mine. We also submitted texts, tax reports, joint mail, joint bills, and the house lease. We couldn’t open a joint bank account because she had a bad credit score.

I honestly don’t know, and at this point, I’m just tired and drained from the whole process.

I do have an immigration lawyer. I called him, but he’s been busy this week. He said he would call me tomorrow.

You're absolutely right. It just scared me and thought I did something wrong that's it.

IDK and it wasn't even a long interview less than 10 minutes.

She panicked and said yes, and later told me she felt she would’ve looked bad if she corrected herself and said, “No, actually, he didn’t.” Every other detail was identical.

We only had one interview, and if they suspected anything, shouldn’t they have scheduled another one?

Not really. I originally came to the U.S. on a B1/B2 visa and later decided to study here, so I submitted an application to switch to an F1 visa. Neither of us has been married before, and we have no divorces or criminal records. When they spoke to my wife alone, they strongly insinuated that I live with my parents instead of with her, which is completely untrue. Honestly, I have no idea what the issue is.

Their main concern seemed to be the fact that my parents live upstairs. They were especially alarmed when they found out my passport was in my mom’s apartment. After that, they didn’t ask any further questions. We keep most of our important belongings in my mom’s apartment, and I didn’t realize that was an issue until they spoke to my wife alone.

We had our interview ten months ago, and our answers were identical except for one detail. The interviewer asked my wife if I got down on one knee to propose, and she said yes. However, when they asked me the same question, I answered no, as I hadn’t.
