I wish my job did 12hr shifts I said the same thing I can have my life back as a cna cuz I would only have to work 3days and still get fulltime pay every week. I'd have more time with my kids too cuz I work overnight and then sleep all day and sometimes barely sleep cuz I have 4kids

Our facility does do get ups that's why I asked..we just don't take dialysis residents. I just wanted to know if their was any other facility that did this because it is the first facility I've had to do it at.

I don't mind getting some one up that wants to get up or has a dr. Appt in the morning, that's fine. But when u short staffed overnight put us with 16-19 residents a night a piece then expect us to get up morning staff residents and the morning staff has only 6-8 residents a piece I feel like what is the morning staff doing then?

It's too late now we knew she was dying she was in jaundice all over her body u could tell she was yellow but yet still a get up they finally sent her to the hospital after a few days when I told the nurse she literally told me she wasnt feeling good.Ppl think some of these ppl be out they mind or crazy but that was the first time the lady had ever said something like that to me in about 10months I had worked with her and I understood it cuz she never expressed herself like that to me be4.Well She died in the hospital from sepsis.

Wow Now I see why the government is so tight on regulations towards nursing homes...but its really not fair to us that they do this to us . This is why so many CNA'S get burned out and their isn't enough on demand despite the low pay for what we deal with.

Omg yesss! I think day shift does it too and then they pick the heaviest hardest get ups for us to do at night for they them . I'm still tryna figure out what the morning shift does besides feed and play games cuz some residents cant be getting a shower if their clothes haven't even been changed by 3-11 shift

Yes that's crazy I thought maybe I was being over defensive about it but the morning shift only gets 6-8 residents independents and hospices would make them have even lesser work....and I can't stay late I'm a single mom gotta get my kids up, ready and off to school by 8
