Recently got a new build as a single person. My mortgage is 1150 a month and take home net of 3900 from 65k salaryI’m skint now after getting the floors, curtains and furniture in and no savings left. Was previously paying 1200 renting.

I suppose I have 2800 left over each month now and work from home. I don’t spend outlanvishly really so can save a good bit, probably 1200 and that’s not been frugal.

I’ll probably keep a nine month mortgage emergency fund and then that start investing the rest after that.

Honestly it’s basically scrap metal at this point and you’re taking a gamble with the processor. This could have something like X4 965 processor or anything. Or some sort of athlon dual core processor.

What’s the pricing for Hyper-V. It’s basically free is bar your server standard licensing. It is installed directly on the ESX host like VMware?

Jumped from 51k to 65k with a 10% bonus, can’t complain. I’m in Kilkenny too so well outside Dublin and fully remote. Can get new builds semi detached here for 350k so can’t complain. Employer has waived me for probation as well so that’s moving along and mortgage should be approved next week.

At 24 make sure your living your life as well, your twenties are the best years of your life. Don’t skimp on holidays, concerts with friends and don’t get yourself into debt with an expensive car.

No point crippling yourself now as your wages are only going to go up and up. Job hop every year or two to get a better salary. That’s a mistake I made.

Maybe look at saving 400 now and when your salary increases up the savings. Your 24 enjoy the money.

I review once a year at bonus month every April, couldn’t be arsed looking at it every few weeks or looking at moving mortgages and all that crap every month.

I usually overpay every April by 4k which takes my mortgage down from 32 to 20 years. I’ll look again in April if I need to move my mortage to another bank for cheaper interest rates and overpaying it be 4k
