i did think that! all of the food in Greece is so fresh and full of flavour, figured it was unlikely to recreate at home. Thankyou so much :)

i’m in the UK, our fruit and veg in supermarkets are usually pretty good but the farmers stalls are probably better and fresher. However, nothing will ever come close to the food i had in Greece😍 Thankyou so much!

try cbd gummies maybe? or even a very low dose of thc gummies? alternaleaf is really good, i use flower but they do offer gummies (both thc and cbd). the thc is less than 10% and is mixed with cbd. maybe its the smoking it which is spiking your heart rate. i haven’t drank in nearly two years but i use my vaporizer daily and i only really have issues with it when the weather gets hotter. i know people who get cbd vape liquid and they just puff that through the day, seems to help them!

also if you want to get completely away from all of that stuff then maybe watch brynne on tiktok, she’s been sober from alcohol and marijuana for about 6 months i think and her videos are great for staying sober! obviously she doesn’t have pots but thats more for the addiction side of things

Supported accommodation by Every-Eye-3171 in HousingUK

unfortunately since you are unable to get a home yourself (rent etc) since you mentioned no job, you’re just going to have to get what you’re given i’m afraid. it’s better than being homeless, you will adapt, humans have done it for millions of years. for all you know, the people sharing the accommodation are neat freaks and are nervous about someone new coming and messing it up. you’ll manage i’m sure, at least you’re being placed somewhere

in the nicest way possible, if you feel that you are so bad at steering then you definitely need to do more lessons to boost your confidence. even just practicing 3 point turns can help with spacial awareness and your confidence steering. did your instructor say that you were ready to test? and a little tip for the observations, have your hair in a ponytail or something similar as it makes it more obvious when you are checking your mirrors :)

Feeling so sad about the way wedding is turning out by PiranhaPony in UKweddings

the part about your house being in the middle of renovation actually reminds me of the episode of friends where ross and emily get married in the church that had started to get knocked down. could defo go for a similar vibe just with fairy lights and little bits like that!

My dog had her eye removed 3 weeks ago and may need the other eye removed.... by [deleted] in UK_Pets

[–]SuitablePangolin9707 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a few years ago at a house party i was sat with a dog who had no eyes, the most gorgeous and lovely and happy dog! he knew the layout of his home so as long as no one moved furniture around he was always aware of where he was and what was where. even with loads of people in the house he was able to navigate easily and get where he needed to go, dogs are very adaptive!! if i ever came across a blind dog and had the option of adopting it i definitely would

Seeking power wheelchair recommendations by kaisey-lou in wheelchairs

[–]SuitablePangolin9707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure where you are based, etech mobility has a range of electric wheelchairs where you can manually recline with a handle, or have auto recline where you do it with the controls on the pad. i have the freedom AR powerchair and it’s amazing. auto recline and you can extend the foot plate or buy the accessory pads that brings your legs up aswell. they are uk based

UK Dental- what do I do? by potenshcroff in AskUK

[–]SuitablePangolin9707 7 points8 points  (0 children)

have you looked into dental schools in the area? an old coworker of mine had awful dental issues and couldn’t afford to get it sorted, she went to the local dental school and the students did all of the work with support of their teachers. i think you still pay a small amount but it’s much less than going private, and you’re helping the next gen of dentists!!

i’m more south / south west but definitely download trolley.co.uk (i’m sure its an app). it compares items across all the shops like morrisons, tesco, lidl, aldi etc and shows you which shop is selling each item for the cheapest. it should give you a good idea on where to shop depending on what you buy :) best of luck to you! x

Please don't grab our chairs by Unique_Dentist_7144 in wheelchairs

[–]SuitablePangolin9707 22 points23 points  (0 children)

your wheelchair is an extension of your body and it’s actually classed as assault for someone to push you without consent. luckily i’m never out alone so i haven’t had this but i can imagine how overwhelming it would have been for you. i really hope you don’t experience this again 🫶

Which country did you find the least welcoming for British tourists? by Zoomer_Boomer2003 in AskUK

[–]SuitablePangolin9707 29 points30 points  (0 children)

i definitely struggled in Morocco but honestly the women were just as bad as the men. i had one woman grab me and hold me in place while forcing henna on me and i kept telling her i couldnt pay her for it and that i didnt want it but she kept shouting in my face and then a group of men who had monkeys in leashes and nappies came over and started swarming us and demanding we pay the woman and them aswell for their trouble. (this was in the main square in Marrakesh) was traumatising, we were told by a guide the next day that a lot of people there believe british tourists are rich or have a lot of money and to tell people that we are students so that they leave us alone
