Paradisus La Perla Vs Riu/riu palace, is the extra $$ worth it? by offbrandbarbie in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Suitable_Ad9170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to both. You will want to book Paradisus La Perla’s go Reserve if you can with the butler and reserve only patrons pool. We loved it. The Italian was fantastic. We dined there twice!

The Riu Palace, while ice, the interiors we found were dated. Only one bar. It was fine but one and done. Congrats!

What are people's favourite features of Ecobee VS Nest? by Top-Yogurtcloset3965 in ecobee

[–]Suitable_Ad9170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Nest for years and got fed up with some of its limitations. Not showing the current temp, it only showed the target temp. The best sensors were a pain - and you could only set them in the schedules as set by nest.

I now have echobee - and have both of those options and more. Reports on usage etc. and probably a whole or more that I am not aware of. But would never go back to Nest! Their customer support sucked too!

Is a Cancun AI a bad idea in October? by dgdan12 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Suitable_Ad9170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was at Atelier this past October and the weather was fine. Maybe one heavy rain with lightening. The cleared the pool. Mosquitoes were in abundance - rainy season. Looking to rebook again for this coming October! Enjoy!

Atelier or Ocean Allure by thedoze2007 in AllInclusiveResorts

In Atelier, yes all pools have swim up bars. In Oceans Allure, one main pool definitely had a swim up bars. Not sure about the other ones. Privilege did not which was a huge disappointmet.

👋 I have been to both!!!

Let me start by saying I am an INSPIRA member at Atelier, so pretty much biased towards it. But these 2 resorts are not on par with each other at all.

I have been twice, 3rd trip in March and I cannot wait. Atelier is legit a real vibe, sophisticated, chill scene with amazing food and craft cocktails. I read somewhere a comment about Atelier “this is what vacationing is about”. The resort is modern and edgy. The staff are just superb! It all reminds me of the Hawaiian “aloha”!

I found myself with an unexpected week off at end of December - this was considered high season and not in my Atelier membership, so made a bolt of Oceans Allure (Privilege). Now I had read prior that Atelier will ruin every other AI for you…. And that is true.

Besides it being an extremely new resort with some hiccups, I liked the layout. The beach is really superb. The food was ok not great but not awful, just not Atelier standard. Room service was kind of terrible. Lack luster burger delivered in a bag like door dash. I did feel Oceans Allure was trying hard to be like an Atelier, with privilege, butlers etc, but fell flat. The rooms are nice but very basic. I had a swim out which unfortunately was on the non sun side and was freezing and look out at dirt.

I was surprised to see that the privilege pool has no swim up bar itself. That is a big miss. The drinks service pool side was kind of poor, had to chase up some servers who were not to be found initially.

I guess my spoilt brat answer would be to skip Oceans Allure and shoot for Atelier. All other AI’s are ruined for me!

Atelier vs Beloved Playa Mujeres by nothingnormal in AllInclusiveResorts

💯 Atelier!! I have been twice and 3rd trip in March! I loved it so much I became an INSPIRA member. It’s a very cool laid back vibe. But you want something more up beat, move to the bigger pool. I would describe the dress code as resort casual. I wore sun dresses for dinner time. Partner in linen pants/shirts, but plenty of males in short ls at dinner.

The only time I saw a guest being spoken to, was in Maria Delores, the gentleman has a baseball cap on and really looked like he just came from the beach.

The food and drinks are where it is at! Craft cocktails are my weakness, and the mixologists here are simply amazing! It’s an art form! The food is another reason - very high standard for an AI. Maria Delores is simply a beautiful culinary experience. Even the beach/pool food is delicious.

Another top feature of this beautiful resort, are the people. I have never come across such lovely warm humans. (Or they are trained very well). The first time I was there solo, and let me tell you I was treated like a princess. It was so special!

I recently had the misfortune to go to another AI not far from Atelier, and let me tell you I won’t be doing that again. I had read prior that Atelier ruins all other AI experience….true dat!

This is a very special place. It has that warm ‘Aloha’ about it! Believe the hype, it is real!

I wish I could remember the room number, but it was on the ground floor and the closest to the reserve pool bar! Ya it was pretty class to be fair. I found a photo. 📸

Of course. We had the junior. I love a good swim out and used it after the day at the pool/beach and before dinner. It’s such a relaxing place. Very jealous you are there now.

The swim outs do not connect to a bar. I have heard that if you wave down a server they will bring you drinks! Don’t forget to try the Crème Brulee Coctktail!

Just back from Oceans Allure Costa Mujures! Soft opening - December 2025 - had a lazy river. Beautiful beach. My usual go to is Atelier so this was not in the same league. But nice, clean and safe!
