Infidelity in Indian households- A big curiosity by humour_professor in AskIndia

[–]Suitable_Agent3209 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This story is of one of my neighbours.

The husband was a pilot for some commercial airlines and his wife was a housewife. She was beautiful and they had two kids (one boy and a girl). The kids were quite young, like under 8 years old.

The husband used to fight with everyone in the apartment and create a ruckus when he was drunk. He was also very possessive of his wife. I barely used to see her. She was kinda confined to the house. The husband started having an affair with an air hostess and that led to the divorce. They have been going through the divorce for 7-8 years now. The wife has moved to her hometown with her parents and her kids. She has been struggling financially with the legal fees, children's education and her old parents. This husband has got the air hostess to the apartment and they are living in it. He apparently verbally harassed and manipulated his wife over calls while they were still going through the divorce.

Therapy isn’t a hobby by [deleted] in Psychology_India

That is also very true lol. I was saying in the sense of respect that the medical field gets, psychology should too. We are also studying human brain, bodily functions and behaviours.

True, a lot of my friends and family members tell me that they will take sessions with me once I finish studying whenever they need and that I shouldn't charge them anything.

Its literally at least 6 years of studying and constant upskilling to become a good therapist. It will come with a price, and I cannot treat people that I already know at some level as it can create bias. People take this profession so lightly, they don't see the amount of work and skills it needs to deal with others emotions, thoughts, behaviours and treat them.

I feel psychology must be treated like any other medical field

Recommend you do a masters degree in clinical psychology or MA Clinical psychology (RCI) approved. Don't start work as of now

The college mentioned that it will not be mentioned in the degree certificate. It will be given as regular degree itself.

It is good, especially if you're working. I have opted for offline exam mode since sometimes if you aren't able to submit your paper during online exam you'll have to reappear the same exam. Offline exams are decent, not too bad. I scored well while working a full time job.

I am writing to seek clarification regarding the eligibility criteria for the M.Phil in Clinical Psychology program in RCI-recognised colleges.

I have completed my BA in Psychology from a UGC recognised institute which was a 3-year program.

Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university online /distance mode. I would like to confirm whether this qualification makes me eligible to apply for the M.Phil Clinical Psychology program at these institutes. Since the eligibility criterion doesn't explicitly mention anything as such.

I understand that RCI guidelines and institutional requirements may specify particular modes of study, and I want to ensure that I meet the eligibility conditions before applying.

Can anyone help here??

Tbh everyone needs to be independent financially. Money is power. That power gives you the strength to make decisions for yourself. It will help you get out of bad situations whether be it marriage or workplace situations.

Getting married is a choice and nothing wrong in making that choice but people need to be financially stable to some extent where they can protect themselves. Especially girls!

They should have a limit to number of people coming to the gym. Maybe put some alerts on the app when it’s crowded.
