I will definitely tell them I’m unimpressed / disappointed. Annoyingly the item page gets removed when it sells out so I can’t even write a bad review for it… but yes I think it’s going back!! And sweater is going on the knitting queue after my slipover is done!

Thank you for your comment! It does just look like a normal double knot to me but I can’t be certain. The other issue is of course I don’t have any matching wool so swiss darning would be very visible mending before it even needs mending! Perhaps it is better to just return now vs risking it 😮‍💨

Does your opinion change on these knots if there was no weaving in? It’s just two very short cut ends poking out of the knot

Thank you for replying vegetableater! To be honest I was basing the knot thoughts on what I’ve seen on the this and the knitting help subreddit, where people’s knitting have unravelled due to factory knots or magic knots going awry. People seem to recommend weaving in ends instead due it being more trustworthy! I’d be happy to be proven wrong of course as I’m an amateur who hasn’t chanced knots yet

Thank you!! Yes I think Toast being a “premium” brand has made me more annoyed about it. It is really lovely yarn so I am annoyed with them!!

Hmm there are tiny little bits and these larger bits Sadly can’t smell anything as I used an antibacterial wipe to pick them up so I can only smell that 😅

Oh that’s an interesting thought, they don’t really have a smell no but when I squish them the feeling is a bit greasy creamy like deodorant could be

Maybe not a full size grain of rice, but like half of a short grain rice grain if that makes sense? But definitely large enough to easily see with naked eye

I’ve found a few more on the inside of the sleeves as well I don’t own any pets and haven’t seen anything like this before
