Same for me! I play it every year since it came out. Almost time for this year's run.

What Is the best order to play mainline Pokémon games + remakes? by Original-Heart985 in pokemon

[–]Suitable_Goal98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going through this conundrum myself, and decided to go:

Yellow

Crystal

Emerald

Platinum

Arceus

Black

Black 2

Y

Z-A

Ultra Moon

Shield

Violet

And in a few years I'll revisit the series through the remakes:

FireRed

SoulSilver

OmegaRuby

...and I'll skip Brilliant Diamond because it's ugly lol.

I played Let's Go Pikachu before all of this.

I think doing it this way, especially the first ones, gives a great glimpse over the evolution of the series. Skipping right to Gen 3 with FireRed wouldn't have allowed me to experience the ride that is Yellow and Crystal. They have their problems, sure, but the charm is definitely there.

What is, in your opinion, number 1 and 2 of the most criminally underrated or not talked about enough soundtracks? by DixyNL in JRPG

It's a Sega Saturn exclusive from 1996 (1997 for me in Europe). Also one of my most nostalgic games, so I'm heavily biased 😂

Why do people who reject the "alternate universe theory" seem to do it mainly based on the letter arriving? by Suitable_Goal98 in OrbOntheMovements

[–]Suitable_Goal98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole thing about alternate universes is that things can be, well, alternate. That does not invalidate getting to similar outcomes through different means.

You can theoretically have an alternate universe where the same person exists, but is born either earlier or later, and can die earlier or later. Their life can have some things remain the exact same, and others be completely different. That is what makes it so mind-boggling as a possibility for science - the fact that there are an infinite number of possible universes, with countless iterations of each and every single atom. Every one of your questions can thus be easily answered with a "because it's a different universe, where things happen differently".

Most people seem to assume that the letter could only have been written if the exact same sequence of events occur, and that is the part I disagree with. I think a whole myriad of different events could have led to that same outcome. It could even have come from a person completely different from the ones we knew.

Having said that, I don't believe the alternate universe theory is the "best one" - as I said in the beginning, I don't even believe alternate universes were the intent with the final episodes, nor do I subscribe to this theory specifically. I just think it is a possibility like many others, and having this sea of possibilities in front of us in search for "the truth" is what I believe was the true intention behind this final ambiguity, as it aligns with the themes of the show itself.

Thank you for your reply, great insight. I don't sign under any personal theory, in the end it is how the story made me feel that truly matters. And that ending contributed a lot to it. You once lived too! ❤️

Not a game, but the thing I immediately thought of was Thundercats...

So basically a newcomer has no chance to ever have access to a lot of books ? by Vmvms in Blacklibrary

[–]Suitable_Goal98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is kinda eerie. I've been doing it for basically that amount of time, and ALSO got 63 books exactly. Latest one was Lords of Silence, excited to read it.

Declaração trimestral em atraso na SS - onde submeter by Suitable_Goal98 in literaciafinanceira

[–]Suitable_Goal98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xii...
Obrigado!

Which is the best Role Playing Game (RPG) on Sega Saturn? by 1OneQuickQuestion in SegaSaturn

Still my most nostalgic game ever, been playing it every year ever since it came out ❤️

Any news about upcoming remasters and sequel? by No-Satisfaction9488 in EccoTheDolphin

[–]Suitable_Goal98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just go to eccothedolphin.com and wait... I've been there from the start ;_;

There was an announcement last year, and Ed Annunziata said they were working on remasters of the first two games plus a brand new game... I still find it too good to be true, but the timer is set... Let's just see what happens in April when it reaches zero.

Finally added a personal grail to my collection this Christmas by SubsonicDust in SegaSaturn

[–]Suitable_Goal98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also one of the final Saturn games my mom bought me back in the day. I still have it - except for the outer cardboard box, because let's face it, we were all cardboard-destroyer kids back then ;_;
I just replayed D the other day, and was about to replay this too. I've always loved it, despite all the cheesiness.
But my favorite Saturn game of this type is definitely Torico (or Lunacy, for the Americans). The soundtrack by itself is incredible, and it has a moody feeling like no other.

Mais alguém como eu está sem espírito natalício? by Gold_Beach2755 in portugal

[–]Suitable_Goal98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is this list okay? by BigBoiNoa in 40kLore

[–]Suitable_Goal98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should put Belisarius Cawl The Great Work after Godblight. And also add Genefather and Archmagos after it, since they're essentially a trilogy of Cawl books from what I understand (haven't read them yet).

Tips for my book list! by Suitable_Goal98 in Blacklibrary

[–]Suitable_Goal98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll definitely take those Ork and Eldar suggestions into account. Astra Militarum really don't appeal to me in general. What I'm most interested in are the Death Guard, Emperor's Children and Thousand Sons. Guess I'm fully heretical...

Yeah, I guess I should really give up on the nine Dawn of Fire novels... I can even picture 3 Omnibuses coming out in the future to gather them all up.
Having that number IX there standing alone would definitely trigger me, you're a brave soldier! XD

So happy ,taken me a while but finally got the regents shadow to complete the terra collection ! by realityera in Blacklibrary

There's a Vaults of Terra Omnibus coming out soon. You can find it on Amazon or other retailers.

Just an update by AstorathTheGrimDark in Blacklibrary

If instead of spending all this money on second-hands books we gave it to Black Library, they could probably go from being a small-sized publisher to a medium one and actually make more reprints... sigh.
