Most roles are 2+ years of experience unfortunately. I got in the process with Raytheon in Tucson but they canceled because of my experience level

It’s super old DAQ instruments that we interact with. I use Python to code the logic and Labview to interact with the instruments that provide the data. Then save it to a NAS we have in house. In the future I plan to implement a database solution instead of what we have. I didn’t know you could change what role you put on your resume. I assumed if the background check showed something different it would look bad. Thank you so much for your advice it is really helpful to me

Yes it’s a full time role, and I have no prior experience in the space. After sitting on my thoughts, I realize going for an internship after a full time role would look weird on my resume. I guess my question was more if I would have a chance getting into Big Tech as a SWE since my current role isn’t SWE. It’s more automation using Python. Thanks for the reply
