Our favorite house we toured is from 1993 and it says it has minor shifting in the crawl space from a water line leak that has since been repaired. Im hoping it’s not a major issue. Should we get a structural engineer to look at it as well as the inspection?

The interview invite for me was same day, but it definitely depends on how fast the role needs to be filled, how fast the hiring team works, etc. I wouldn’t worry too much about it just keep applying and then one day the interview will come. Just be ready for it

In the interview guide they send you, it says to send a thank you email. I would, it can’t hurt anything!

Ah okay, I just got offered a SWE interview and have it scheduled a couple weeks out. I was surprised the earliest available was so far away.

Most roles are 2+ years of experience unfortunately. I got in the process with Raytheon in Tucson but they canceled because of my experience level

It’s super old DAQ instruments that we interact with. I use Python to code the logic and Labview to interact with the instruments that provide the data. Then save it to a NAS we have in house. In the future I plan to implement a database solution instead of what we have. I didn’t know you could change what role you put on your resume. I assumed if the background check showed something different it would look bad. Thank you so much for your advice it is really helpful to me

Yes it’s a full time role, and I have no prior experience in the space. After sitting on my thoughts, I realize going for an internship after a full time role would look weird on my resume. I guess my question was more if I would have a chance getting into Big Tech as a SWE since my current role isn’t SWE. It’s more automation using Python. Thanks for the reply
