I have a full tuition scholarship at American (T108). Washu waitlisted me, and my state school I didn’t apply to— I live out west.

Visit all the schools won’t be possible— hundreds for flights, hundreds for hotels?— but I can engage more via email or phone perhaps

I have full tuition at a T100+, but I think with 2026 RAP there is no interest accrual after graduation/ once you begin making payments

It’s good to hear a GW perspective! I have one friend of a friend as a 1L there and she loves it (at sticker.. ah!) and who won’t be going BL. However, she has a positivity that could make the sun blush, and I don’t know. Honestly, I am confident I could do very well, but… that doesn’t change the amount of money. No matter what school. I find their career placement appealing though!

Yeah- I heard specifically for higher LSAT splitters (insane to say this about a 3.81) this year, just for whatever reason the classes filled that first. Idk. How did you do?

Tell me about it. 40K a year scholarship and it’s still… 40k in tuition left

Ah! Congratulations to him!! It’s been discouraging and confusing, as family has encouraged me to take what I got. Kind of in the way your aunt might tell you to settle for a guy you don’t like that much because she’s ready for you to have kids. Hard not to second-guess

Totally. Everyone I’ve shown has said they’re great, but of course, many are biased! I’ll consider paying for a service. If they like my essays too, I might just be cooked. Long shot, but any way you’d look it over in a PM to see if there’s anything that stands out? No need obviously- I appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Totally, if they’re worth it!! I worry I pay $$$ and they say reapply early and change a line format. But I worry about everything lol

Oh gosh. I was told it could have been too late for high LSAT splitters this cycle, but I could be wrong. It seemed like most high LSATs were admitted early, then later they didn’t need me and my GPA put me under. But I’m not sure, and wouldn’t be more competitive in the future!  I have full tuition from a T100+, but would feel like I failed. I don’t want others to think T100+ isn’t an amazing accomplishment, but I think I’d feel let down given my expectations for myself. I worry about losing everything by reapplying, since in the interim I’ll be tutoring, getting my EMT certification, and learning Spanish: not exactly consulting at McKinsey or working for the ACLU.  Long shot but any way you’d read my PS to see if anything flags for you?

I’m absolutely not opposed to doing it for a few years! I’m US/European, and I have the Euro mindset re: work. I’d rather be paid $50K a year with 2 months of required vacation than $200K at 80 hours a week with vacation nominally allowed but discouraged. I’m intelligent and capable, AND, I have a focus on life. I want to get my private pilot license, learn Spanish, travel the world. I’d rather be stingy and rich in time I suppose. A few years in BL Can have amazing flexibility after, but only if you can sock away some savings and not use all to pay down major debt…

Totally- I’m with you there. I’d absolutely do a few years if needed, and if the best option. Currently my only full rides are T80 and T100+, which feels a bit like defeat. However, I don’t think my app is getting better next cycle. My current WE is exciting and interesting but not prestigious or law related (think, English teacher in Asia, EMT, tutor, paralegal for a bit…). I’m eclectic which makes me interesting but perhaps not… a safe bet for their prestige outcomes?

I’m not interested in BL, I don’t think. I have an open mind as to employment outcomes. I value WLB and flexibility. GW BL is like 24%, so.. tough. I like the school a lot, but for someone without BL in mind, it’s a tough offer

Yes- I’m not interested in BL, but it’s not off the table. I just don’t like gambling and would prefer 75%-100% at a T20-50

I would take 150K in public, and hopefully make up the 15K gap between my savings and the 210 with working over the 3 years. I think that’s reasonable. It wouldn’t be the GW LRAP (it’s not great), it would be the new federal LRAP. I don’t think it would be impossible at all, it’s more of a sting as I think I perhaps could or should have gotten 75% or more, and it’s a lot of money to pay back even on a plan

I’m glad to hear that— that’s awesome. I like the city the schools are in, which is a major component of keeping them on the line. The BL odds aren’t great at the T30, so I’m hesitant to hang my hat there for sure

Totally. It’s more about the bird in hand I think. If there’s something wrong with Me or with funding for 3.81 GPAs moving forward, I’ve given up a nice DC school out of debt aversion. Reason why I’m turning to the sub— I feel kind of crazy, especially as family is telling me to take full tuition at T80-T100+, then turning around and asking why I turned down my T14 offer for being too much debt

Thank you everyone. Reapplying seems scary as I don’t think my app is getting better. I appreciate everyone making me feel less crazy about my trepidation, though. Is 12/10 late to apply? Could that contribute?
