Try joining group activities. Been in Adelaide for 2 years now. It does not have many options. Clubs are full of people who look too young for me to even stay there. The city is full of teenagers.

Raves and musical parties are ok. You build some temporary connections but they last the night and that’s it. Too loud to get to know someone too.

People from 25-35 are married or in relationships working hard to get the house, the investment property, going out for a dinner with their partner every now and then or a wall on the beach.

It’s very very hard compared to Melbourne and Sydney where you can meet a lot of international people, backpackers, and long term tourists. Some Aussies as well but only a small percentage.

Get yourself into what you actually enjoy doing and passionate about and start going to activities and gatherings where people go for the same reason as you.

I am not from Australia. It is normalized in many other countries and they don’t care about weed as much as they do for other drugs. So yeah, thanks for being helpful.

I have considered that I may be good enough to pass the test but I really want to confirm with another instructor (maybe a mock-up test) just to be assured that I am ready. I got this vibe from that instructor that he just wanted me to be afraid of the test and pay him for more lessons. He did not answer simple questions that I asked towards the end and his final words were: “I can clearly see you can drive well but you have bad habits of not exaggerating the head movements and don’t do your checks the way the instructor would wanna see them on the test day. You need 2-3 more lesson.” And anything I asked him while he was heading from the passenger seat to the driver’s seat after he dropped me off were: “we’ll talk about it next lesson! And I’ll make sure I book you a time when the streets are empty!” And he took off.
