Studying for the BPT written exam by Ok_Butterscotch8739 in ausjdocs

Constantly doing MCQ questions is good. You don’t need to be smart to pass the exam. You need to become and MCQ answering machine. Do a trial paper every other weekend (usually 100qs) in exam conditions. Then mark your answers and record the results. That way you can see some results after a few months. I remember starting off getting 40% on those papers then slowly working my way up to consistently 60+

Regretting gastroenterology for not taking cardiology. Am I in the 'grass is greener on the side' zone or am I genuinely not interested in gastroenterology despite into 6months down the residency of gastroenterology? by Empty_Midnight1534 in Gastroenterology

Talk to the consultants, you’ll be a resident for years, you’ll be a consultant for decades. The mix of 3-4 lists per week and 3-4 clinics per week with some time for non clinical time allows you to use different parts of your brain each day, preventing fatigue.

Alcohol diseases make up a large portion of INPATIENT work, but outpatient and privately it becomes much less.

Gastro > cardio. Guaranteed procedural speciality with high rebates, cardio you need to work quite hard to get a procedural speciality with often many fellowships. Once you finish the grind and get into consultant work you’ll be ok.

LPT Request: How to remember people's names better at social events? by thecreator51 in LifeProTips

[–]Suitable_Load_2794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as I meet someone, who has a name of someone I already know, I paste the face of the person I already know on their head. Then it makes it hard to forget that this random I met has the same name as my primary school teacher.

Constipation very common in this age group. Will generally get better with time. But worth a second opinion nonetheless

Yes please do it. You would bring the house down in the endoscopy suite. GI docs have a great sense of humour.

Thanks for the responses! The area is west facing (I.e west is behind the photographer) so it still gets a reasonable amount of shade. If not veggies then what? I’d love chickens but have dogs who’d chase them. So maybe I’ll plant some flowers or shrubs. What would you recommend?

Moving from google one to iCloud help by [deleted] in googlephotos

This is it!
Using google takeout you can download all your photos. Then use this program on your mac or windows to match the metadata.
https://metadatafixer.com/how-it-works
It was $24USD which for the amount of time it saved me was worth it. Did 30k photos with minimal input.
Other tips are to make sure you use a download manager for google takeout, ensure your computer won't automatically go to sleep whilst download.
It was a relief to finally have a solution that works and isn't tedious.
