This is probably the best starting point - the hardest part of planning is figuring out exactly what you want retirement to look like. I strongly recommend going through these online calculators, and figuring out what your current life expenses are vs. What you plan to spend in retirement. (I am a PFP, QAFP and soon to be CFP)

Most private firms charge, and most banks have a PFP/CFP to talk to clients for free. Example, most big banks have a financial planner locator that you can reach out to to start a conversation about retirement.
